Monthly Archives: January 2014
I just wanted to let you know a couple of little changes I’ve made with Doll Pals.
1. Instead of me (well, my dolls) writing to every single “doll” that signed up each month, I am going to draw a name and write to one doll a month. It will be a lot easier on me if we do it this way 😉
2. I have had a lot of requests for doing this by email. However, I am only making exceptions for those who don’t live in the US or who aren’t allowed to give out personal information. Doing this by mail is much easier for me than doing it by email.
I will be drawing a name on Monday, so if you still haven’t signed up there is still time! The last day to sign up to get a letter this month is Sunday, January 19th at midnight.
Thank you all who signed up so far! My “girls” are really excited to start writing letters! 😀
I hope you all are having a nice day!
Yesterday (right when I was gonna eat lunch) Samantha came!!!!!! Her hair was in way better condition than I thought and I was able to fix it up easily. She has a mark on her cheek, but it’s not very bad. Her limbs aren’t loose and her clothes are perfect! Her head is tilted, though, but that’s not too much of a problem since Rebecca’s and Cecile’s are, too 😉
Anyways, enough talk, it’s time for some pictures!! 😀
I took a couple of pics yesterday and my mom thought I should post them. 😉
Awww!! Doesn’t she look SO beautiful?!
Here’s the back, so you can see her pretty curls 🙂
And here is a full body picture. She is SO SWEET!!!
AWWWW!!! I discovered that her face mold is smaller than the classic face mold today. I think that it’s SUPER cute!! 😀
Her hat is so elegant! LOVE!
Beautiful curls 🙂
And of course, realizing that I now had 3 retired Historical Dolls, I knew that I had to take some pics of them together 😉
Left to right: Felicity Merriman- archived in 2011, Kirsten Larson- archived in 2010, and Samantha Parkington- archived in 2009.
Felicity and Kirsten are SO happy to welcome Samantha to her new home 🙂
Do you have any retired AG dolls?
So, yesterday afternoon I started thinking about Samantha and how amazing it will be to finally have her. But then I thought, “Oh, no! Where is she gonna sleep?!”
I went in my room, grabbed a paper and pen and starting drawing out the two bunk beds and writing down where everyone slept. Uh-oh. There was no more room on either bunks!! I grabbed all of my dolls (okay, well, not all at the same time, LOL!) and put them in bed. I started thinking of ways I could re-arrange, but I couldn’t figure it out! My heart was pounding and I was out of breath (literally!). I was REALLY stressing out!
Then I FINALLY got it!! Above is a picture of all my bed plans. I had to draw stuff out 4 times! LOL!
Now I have space for 2 more dolls (if I get 2 more, which I probably will, hehe!)!! Whew! I am SO relieved that’s over. 😀
Have you ever had trouble figuring out where your dolls would sleep? Did you stress out like I did?
Note: My writing is very sloppy in those drawings. I was writing really fast and wasn’t worrying about making it look nice. Sorry 😛
OH, MY GOODNESS!!!!!
This afternoon I sold 2 Elsa Dresses in my Etsy Shop, but that’s not even the best part!!
After realizing that I now had over $100 I asked my mom to look up some Samantha dolls on Ebay.
I just bought her for $112!!!! I AM SOOOO EXCITEEEEDDD!!!! 😀 😀
She is in really good condition, too! Her hair doesn’t look very bad and she comes in her Meet Outfit!!!
I am SO happy and I just HAD to share that with you!! I can’t believe I’m finally getting her! 😀
Have you ever bought a doll off of Ebay?
If you’ve seen Frozen, you’ll like this post, and if not, then you’ll still like this post! Hehe! 😛
Ever since I saw Frozen I have been obsessed with that movie and everything about it! I have memorized the songs “Let It Go” and “For the First Time In Forever”. I sing them ALL the time! They are SO GOOD!
Anyways, I knew that I just had to make an Elsa dress for my dolls, and I finally finished it tonight!! Caroline is being my model 😉
“A kingdom of isolation, and it looks like, I’m the queen.”
“Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them knoow!! Well, now they knoooow!!”
“Let it go!”
“Let it goo! You’ll never see me cry!”
“Here I stand in the light of daaay! Let the storm rage OOOON!!”
“The cold never bothered me anyway!”
What do you think of the outfit? Doesn’t Caroline make a perfect Elsa?
P.S. This outfit will be available to buy in my Etsy shop soon! 🙂
Oh, my gosh!! I’m SO excited to share this with you all!!!
I am starting a fun thing called Doll Pals! My dolls will send your dolls a letter once a month and they can be little Pen- er, Doll Pals!! I just know my girls would love to have some friends to write to once in a while 🙂
If your dolls are interested in participating in this, all you have to do is email me through the contact page and give me yours and your doll’s names and home address.
Also, be sure to get your parent’s permission before giving out your information. 😉
The last day to sign up to get a letter this month is on the 16th.
I hope you and your dolls like this idea! Me and my dolls can’t wait to get started! 😀
Today marks the beginning of a new year and for AG fans such as ourselves, that means one GOTY leaves and a new one takes her place. I originally planned for this to be an ordinary photoshoot, but I think it can be more than that. This is a special photoshoot just for Saige. To tell her that we will always love her 🙂
Saige looks absolutely stunning in her Sparkle Dress. This outfit is so much better in person. The pictures do not do it justice.
These boots are just the cutest little things! The detail is amazing!
Here you can see the detail of the necklace and the dress. Both are so gorgeous!
And of course, the hairstyle adds to the outfit. Saige’s hair is curled and pulled back with tiny black clips. A cute style for any day!
Being the horse-lover that she is, Saige wanted Penny to be in the last couple of pictures 🙂
Saige giving Penny a kiss, aww!! <3
Do you have Saige?
Happy New Year and Welcome, Isabelle! Although we are very excited about the new Girl of the Year, we are also very sad to see Molly, Emily, and Saige be moved to the archives. They will always be missed 🙁
Anyways, I spent a long time looking through everything in Isabelle’s collection this morning and I finally chose a few things that I like.
Isabelle is a very cute doll and I like her a lot, but I am not planning on purchasing her.
Although in some pictures (like this one) she just looks so pretty and I can’t help imagining her with my dolls! But, no! I need to control myself. I don’t want her, I just think she’s really cute. 😀
Isabelle’s Accessories are very adorable. I love the purse and the arm warmers, but my favorites are the hairpin and the jacket!! The Jacket is SOOO CUTE!! Too bad the girls size is $44 😕
Isabelle’s Metallic Dress is so pretty and cute! I think my “girls” would love this 😀
Isabelle’s Coral Sweater is very cute, too. I love the color and style. I think my “girls” want this, too! But eeks! It’s very see-through, so they would have to wear something under it 😉
Isabelle’s Mix and Match Outfit #4 is so pretty and pink! Pink is my favorite color, so this is kind of perfect for me 😀
Isabelle’s Mix and Match Outfit #15 is cute, but without the Practice Top underneath. I just like the Sweater and Scrunch Pants together 😉
Isabelle’s Dance Barre is really cool! If one of my “girls” was a ballerina they would definitely need this!
WOW! Isabelle’s Studio is absolutely amazing!! I wish they sold the sewing machine and the mannequin by themselves. Hehe! 😛
Be sure to check out everything on American Girl!
Do you plan on buying Isabelle? What do you love most from her collection?
