Photos From The Past
Hi everyone! Recently I was going through some old pictures I took from like 2009-ish, and I thought it would be fun to show you all 🙂
First off, this is a picture of all my stuffed animals (at that time) set up on my floor as Spirit preached to them about the Prodigal Son. I called it Beanie Church 😉 Oh, and you see that little white goat down there that’s tied up? Yeah… He’s bad so he had to be tied up to keep him from going crazy. Kinda funny that his name is Fred the Friendly Goat, isn’t it? XD
I took this photo of Beth around Christmas time. I think she looks so precious 🙂
O_O Did that really used to be all I had? I can’t even remember what that was like! XD Oh, just an FYI for those who don’t know, but Addy and Josefina are my sister’s dolls 😉
I played Little House on The Prairie/country a LOT when I was little. Here we have Felicity and Addy doing some mending 😉
Kirsten making some eggs 🙂 (OH MY GOSH HER HAIR!!! :O )
Josefina tending to the baby 🙂
This was another time when I was playing “real life”. Felicity, Addy, and Caleb are all playing with cars on this mat I had, while Kirsten, Kendra, and Josefina play with their dolls 🙂
Beth looking all sweet 🙂
And for a bonus, this is a picture of my room after I cleaned it all up. It looks so different now. O_O I’ll have to show you guys what my room looks like now sometime 😉
Well, I hope you enjoyed taking a stroll through memory lane with me! I love having these pictures to look back to 🙂
Do you have photos of things you used to play when you were little?
Masquerade ~Part 14
Whoa. That felt so weird to write “part 14” up there! This is quite long, isn’t it? 😉
Ready for some heartbreak? Good, good. Then here we go….
After being knocked out and dragged mercilessly to the dungeon, I found myself half wishing Liesel would come down and half wishing she wouldn’t.
Oh, Liesel…. Ever since our talk in the field, I thought of her more than ever. I longed to be with her, but knew I had to get used to us being apart. She was a married woman, after all, and I had to respect that.
“Enjoying your stay?” A familiar voice said that snapped me out of my thoughts. Jeremiah. I looked and saw him staring at me intently, his hand on the hilt of his sword.
“What do you want?” I inquired with disgust.
“To offer you a choice. Either you confess to the world that you killed Liesel’s father and stay in the dungeon for eternity, or I kill you. The choice is yours.” Jeremiah said, his voice hoarse.
“I choose…. To confess. To confess that I am the witness and that you had her father killed. And even more than that, I’ll tell them all about your secret gambling establishment in the next kingdom, hidden deep under the ground. And all you hold dear will be taken from you – your life.” I growled.
Jeremiah pulled out his sword and pointed it towards me. “You’d better watch what you say, Edmund. You have one last chance. Now what do you choose?!” He bellowed.
I stumbled to get up and stepped closer to him and said, “I choose vengeance.”
Jeremiah placed his sword under my chin and stared at me with gritted teeth. “I know you want to kill me, so why don’t you?” I asked, testing his courage. “I think you’re afraid, you’re afraid to kill someone yourself. That’s why you had Frederic do your dirty work for you, isn’t it?”
“Stop!” Liesel yelled as she rushed in. Surely the sight of her husband pointing a sword at her old beau was an awkward sight.
“Jeremiah, what’s going on? Why is Edmund locked up?” She inquired.
“He blames me for murdering your father! If this gets out, I could be murdered myself! He’s a scoundrel!” Jeremiah growled.
I saw the shock in Liesel’s eyes, though she was trying to hide it. “A moment alone please, Jeremiah.” Liesel requested and he stomped off.
“Edmund, is what Jeremiah said true? You think he killed my father?” She asked.
“Liesel, I know this must be hard for you to comprehend, but you have to believe me. Jeremiah had him killed!” I insisted.
“Oh, Edmund…” She turned her head away and became silent. “Liesel, it’s true.” I said.
She closed her eyes and stood completely still. I could tell she was trying not to cry, I had seen her do this before.
“Why would he have my father killed?” She asked after a moment of silence.
“Because he owed him money that he couldn’t pay. Jeremiah owns a secret gambling establishment that your father used to go to. It’s where he lost everything and why you and your mother had to move away in order to escape the debts.” I explained and I saw a tear trickle down her cheek.
“Edmund.” She said as she reached her hand through the bars. I leaned closer and she placed her fingers on my cheek. “Edmund I want to believe you. But I can’t.” She said, her voice cracking.
I instantly backed away and looked at her in shock. “Why don’t you believe me? Do you really trust Jeremiah, a man you barely know, more than me?”
“It just seems kind of funny to me that you suddenly show up shortly after I marry him, ask my forgiveness, and then accuse Jeremiah of murdering my father. It’s like you’re trying to break us apart. Like you’re trying to win me back. But that can’t happen, Edmund. I made a vow and I intend to keep it.”
Tears began to blur my vision. I turned away and whispered, “Leave me.” And she left.
How could she accuse me of such a thing? Her words stung me. It was a pain unlike any I had felt before. She didn’t trust me anymore. And now I didn’t know where my fate lied….
*sigh* I need to go hug Weston/Edmund.
Stay tuned for another part coming soon! 😀
Pretty Plaid Shirt & Purple Play Shorts ~Review and Photoshoot
Hi everyone! I’m sorry I haven’t been posting a ton lately, but I’m gonna try to change that 😉
I was going to post Masquerade last night, but that didn’t end up working out, so I’ll probably have it up tomorrow 🙂
Anyway, a week or 2 ago, a package from AG arrived with some surprises from my mom! Today I finally got to take pics for a review and photoshoot of 2 of the items, so let’s get on with it, shall we? 🙂
Here is the Pretty Plaid Shirt. Right when I saw this online, I died (but then, what else is new? XD)!
The shirt is made a of a very thin material, but I don’t see it ripping or anything. It is dark blue with stripes of, I’d say sea green and pink. Everyone sees colors differently, and that’s what I see when I look at the shirt 🙂
It has 4 working buttons which are surprisingly easy to use. I prefer to leave the top button unbuttoned at the collar.
It has a cute little pocket that you could actually put something in.
The sleeves go down to about an inch above the wrist where they cuff up. They can not be rolled down as it is sewn on the side.
On the bottom of the shirt there’s a little metal American Girl tag.
The shirt is made to be tied in a knot. I think they made it long enough for people to tie easily, but then, I do have tiny hands 😉 I was really glad that my doll could still wear the shirt tied without it exposing the stomach. I was a little worried about that at first 😉
This is what the shirt looks like untied. Not very appealing, but maybe if you wanted to pair it with a skirt tucked in, you could do that 🙂
The Purple Play Shorts are adorable and match perfectly with this outfit! As you can see, they are a bit too short, but all AG’s shorts and skirts these days are too short. Thankfully they’re just dolls 😉
There are only 2 belt loops in the front, which I think is a little odd… The lavender shorts have coral stitching.
An American Girl tag is on the left pocket.
If you pull down the shorts just a tad, your doll can put her thumbs in her pockets which looks super cute 😉
Just another shot 😉
I rate the Pretty Plaid Shirt 5 out of 5 stars. I don’t have a problem with it at all!
I rate the shorts 4 out of 5 stars due to the length and only 2 belt loops. That just seems really strange to me XD
So, now it’s time for a long photoshoot because Jocelyn looks adorable and I got up early to take these pics, so I had to take advantage of the shade and non overwhelming heat while I could! XD
I got so much bokeh in my photos today!! *squeal*
I haven’t taken a photoshoot in forever, guys! I didn’t realize how much I missed it! *cries* LOL! JK ;D
Do you ever suddenly find a cut on yourself and you’re like – where on earth did that come from? XD Okay, that was random…..
Everybody in their Sunday best…. (I’m trying a new thing. Putting random thoughts and whatnot into my photoshoots. How do you like it? XD)
I was really happy with how this turned out 🙂
Which one do you like best – this one or the other one?
Oh bokeh, oh bokeh, I love you so much. You bring spots of gladness into our lives. Why then, oh bokeh, must you be so hard to get in my photos?! XD
Isn’t Jocelyn so pretty? *heart eyes*
All done!! If you read this entire post, I congratulate you! XD
I should have another review and photoshoot up soon, so stay tuned! 🙂
Do you ever say something completely random that makes no sense? I’m asking because I was just going to end this post by asking “what do you want for waffles?” XD I think I’m tired….
Have a wonderful day!
Masquerade~ Part 13
WOW! This is so far the longest photostory series I’ve done! 😀
Read the last part here.
After Liesel and I parted ways, I went searching for Prince Jeremiah; Liesel’s scandalous husband.
I heard in town that the prince enjoyed taking walks near the river, so I waited for him there. To my delight, he showed up.
“Sire, if you have a moment I need to speak with you.” I said as I approached him.
“What is it, sir?” Jeremiah asked.
I wasn’t about to waste my time by being respectful to this man, so I came right out and said, “I know what you did.”
“What did I do?” He inquired. I could tell he was feeling uneasy.
“For starters, you married my girl.” I was going to work my way up to what I really wanted to say.
Jeremiah chuckled and said, “So, you’re jealous? Obviously you weren’t in her life anymore as I truly believe she would have said something about you to me before she accepted my proposal.”
“I’m not the only man who wasn’t in her life anymore. You killed her father.” That last sentence tasted bitter in my mouth. Knowing that my dear Liesel was married to the very man who was responsible for her father’s death absolutely sickened me.
“And what proof do you have of this?” Jeremiah inquired with a laugh as though the very notion was preposterous.
I grinned and said, “I’m the witness.”
At that, Jeremiah froze. He knew he was caught and I could tell he didn’t know what to do. “I didn’t kill him.” He defended.
“Oh, I know. That would have been far too dangerous. You put Frederic up to it.” I said, relieved at last to confront the prince about this.
“So what do you plan to do?” Jeremiah asked as he looked at the sparkling river.
“I plan to expose both of you. The kingdom deserves to know what kind of Prince they have ruling over them.”
“What makes you think they’ll believe you?” He asked, unmoving.
“Because the witness is still being searched for. They have a description of me. They’ll believe every word I say.” I informed.
“Well, there’s only one thing wrong with that…” Jeremiah said, his eyes growing darker.
“That you won’t be around for them to find.” He said with an evil grin and snapped his fingers.
Before I knew what was happening, someone came from behind me and hit me on the head-
-I fell to the ground, unconscious.
DUN DUN DUN DUUUUNNN!!!! XD
Next part coming soon! 🙂

Masquerade~ Part 12
Hiiii! I’m so sorry I kinda disappeared for a week. We went somewhere pretty much every day last week and the days I was home, I just wasn’t feeling good 😉 I hope you all had a Happy 4th of July! 😀
Okay, enough of my rambling, let’s get on with what you’ve all been waiting for – Masquerade!! Oh! And here’s the link to the previous part in case you need a refresher 😉
Edmund walked up to me, a nervous expression on his face. “Hello, Liesel.” He greeted once we were about 2 feet apart.
I wished he hadn’t greeted me as though nothing was wrong. It made it harder for me to say something, so I got straight to the point – “What are you doing here?”
He turned his head toward his horse and sighed, in a way that told me this conversation was going to be hard for him. “I needed to see you and….explain things.” He said and I held my breath. I wasn’t sure I was ready to hear this.
“Edmund, I’m not sure I want to hear this right now…” I trailed off, but he said-
“Liesel, please. I’ve traveled a long way to see you.” I considered his feelings and how he must be struggling, so I nodded for him to continue. “I know you’ve always wondered why I left you so suddenly. And ever since that day, I’ve regretted never explaining things to you.” He turned his head to the side and stared into the distance, as though he could see the past right before him.
“So why did you leave?” I pressed.
“I left because – because I felt responsible for your father’s death.” He stumbled over the words and I was about to say something, but he gave me a look that told me he had more to say. “Liesel I was there when your father was killed. I should have prevented it, but I was too afraid. Because of me, your father isn’t here anymore.” He took in a shaky breath and looked at his feet in shame.
“You mean – you could have saved my father, but you didn’t? And that’s why you left?” I asked, tears blurring my vision.
“Yes. I couldn’t bear to tell you the truth. I was too ashamed that I did nothing… So that’s why I left. To spare your feelings.” He said.
“Oh, Edmund…. The only feelings you spared were your own. First I lost my father, then the only man I ever loved a week later – I was broken. And now – now I feel that I’m right back in that same place.” Tears trickled down my cheeks as I spoke. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t hold them back.
“Liesel, I am so sorry,” Edmund said as he laid his hands on me, “I should never have left you, especially after you lost your father. I should have been there for you, but instead I only made things worse.”
“I’ve never forgotten you, Liesel. You’ve been on my mind and heart for years. I know I’ve hurt you, and I wouldn’t blame you if you never forgave me, but I just want you to know how truly sorry I am. You’ll always have a friend in me.”
I looked into his deep brown eyes and I realized how sincere he was. Thinking over how he felt and the secret he had to bear for all those years, I understood that he had struggled almost as much as I had. I managed to give him a slight grin and say, “I forgive you, Edmund.”
“Thank you.” He said and he smiled at me as he never had before – the smile of a forgiven man.
I was about to type “The End”, but I was like – this series isn’t over yet! XD
Next part coming soon! 😀
