Things I Play With My Dolls
Hi everyone! Happy (late) Valentine’s Day! I hope you all had a great day! 😀
I’m going to show you some pictures I took of my “kids” at their Valentine’s Day Party.
They all had such a fun time together! Every time I walked by the room I heard laughs and giggles! 🙂
“Have you tried the punch, Kanani? It’s really good!” Saige asked her sister.
“No, I haven’t. I’ll have to try some!” Kanani replied.
“Are you going to eat something, Samantha?” Kanani asked.
“Hmm.. I think I’m going to have a slice of that cookie cake!” Samantha said with a smile.
Annika, Marie-Grace, and Cecile were talking together in a corner and Addy went over to see what they were talking about.
“What are you three talking about?” Addy asked sweetly.
“We’re talking about all the amazing songs in Frozen and how we wish we could sing like them!” Marie-Grace replied. Them three are the singers in our family, so they talk about songs from movies a lot. 😉
However, Addy also likes the songs from Frozen, so she decided to join their conversation.
On the other side of the room, Eli started on his second cupcake and Lissie reached for a truffle, but got distracted by what Rebecca was asking Elijah.
“I just realized that I never asked you when your birthday was!” Rebecca said.
“You didn’t? It’s on November 5th.” Eli replied.
Josefina and Caroline were talking together and Kirsten made her way over to the table with a slice of iced lemon pound cake. Yum!
Everyone ate practically all day. Yes, I made an exception. After all, it’s a holiday! 🙂
Then they passed out handmade valentines. And at night they got in their jammies and watched Monster’s University.
They have all been talking about how much fun they had yesterday and how they wish they could do it all the time. I told them that it doesn’t have to be a holiday to have a good time together. It can be any day at all! Remember to enjoy your life with family and friends and make memories that will last forever 🙂
Did you and your dolls celebrate Valentine’s Day?
“Your Highness? The Queen sent me to finish fixing your hair.” My hand maiden, Maggie said.
“Oh, yes! Thank you, Maggie.” I said. Yes, this is me. Many people would think that life as a princess is wonderful, but that is not entirely true. While there are many luxuries being a princess, I have often felt alone. Yes, I had my mother, Queen Isabella, always there for me as well as my father, King David, but I never had any friends to talk to or laugh with. I was raised in the castle, never permitted to go outside of the castle walls. And finally, today was the day I was making my debut- my 16th birthday…
“Bring the chair over here, please.” I said.
“Oh, Maggie! Can you believe it? My first ball! I will finally be meeting people!” I said with a squeal. Oops! That is not proper!
“Yes, Your Highness. I am sure you must be overwhelmed with joy!” Maggie said as she tied my ribbon.
*Sigh* “People? Maggie, what am I to say? I am so excited, but nervous as well, I’m sure I will faint.” I said. I never imagined that I would be so nervous.
“There now, Princess. I know you will be just fine!” Maggie said as she gave me a little squeeze. She was always such a comfort to me.
I stood up and Maggie placed my crown on my head.
“You look beautiful, Your Highness.” Maggie said with a curtsy.
“Thank you, Maggie!” I said.
My mother walked in with a smile on her face. She was truly the most beautiful and gracious queen and I hoped someday I would be like her.
“Your Majesty.” Maggie said as she curtsied.
“Thank you, Maggie. Would you please excuse us for a moment?” My mother asked.
“Of course, Your Majesty!” Maggie said.
“Oh, Ruby! You look positively radiant!” My mother said as she took my hands.
“Thank you, Mother! And you look absolutely divine, as always!” I said with a smile.
“My dear, I have been thinking that perhaps we should wait another year…” My mother said.
“No, Mother! We all agreed that I when I turned 16, that would be the day I make my debut.” I said with a sigh. Then my father walked in.
“Ruby, you look beautiful!” My father said.
“Doesn’t she?” My mother said proudly.
“Thank you, Father.” I said shyly.
Suddenly my father’s smile disappeared and he said, “Ruby, Isabella, the guards just informed me of something of a very serious nature.” My father said. “Uh-oh! I know that look. Something’s wrong!” I thought to myself.
“Two men have been spotted in the castle grounds. They plan to kidnap Ruby.” My father said with one of the saddest expressions I had ever seen.
I gasped, “Mother, what do we do?”
“Hush, dear!” My mother said, “David, what are the guards doing about this?”
“They are on the lookout for the men, but they have had no luck.” My father replied.
“What do you mean? Who spotted them if it wasn’t the guards?” I asked.
“Unfortunately, it was the gardener.” My father replied.
“David, what on earth are we going to do? If they make it in the palace they will take her and we will never see her again!” My mother said.
“I know. There is only one alternative. We must send Ruby away.” My father replied.
“Away? Where?” My mother asked.
“She will stay with my Aunt Beatrice in the country. It is the safest place. No one would look for her there.” My father said as he grabbed my hand. “You must be brave, Ruby.”
“Brave? I’m being sent away from my home and my parents to live with my aunt in the country, how am I supposed to be brave?” I asked my father with tears in my eyes.
“Remember this poem, it will help you:
Do not be afraid,
Do not cry,
You must be brave.
We will rest easy,
If you will try.”
I decided I would try to be brave. I wouldn’t want my parents to be worrying about me day and night. “I wonder what Aunt Beatrice is like?” I thought to myself.
That’s the end of Part 1! Look for Part 2 coming soon! 😀
Yes, here it is!! You are all probably screaming with excitement right now- LOL! 😀
I promise, I will never take that long to finish a series again! It has just been WAY too long 😉
So, last we left off Cecile had a fever caused by an infection and was going to have another surgery. Thankfully the surgery went well, but she still had a slight fever. I took Annika and Saige with me to visit Cecile the day after the operation.
“Annika, why did I ever let her get on Penny? I had a bad feeling that whole morning. I should’ve told her that it wasn’t a good day! It’s all my fault!” Saige cried.
“Oh, Saige! It is not your fault! Cecile doesn’t blame you- nobody blames you. Why do you keep going on about it? You couldn’t have known for sure that something was going to happen. You are no more responsible for her injury than I am.” Annika explained nicely.
“I wouldn’t expect you to understand. It’s okay.” Saige said with a little sniffle.
“Saige, I have said everything I know to say. And if you won’t listen to me, I don’t know what anyone could do to make you feel better.” Annika said sadly.
“Saige?” Cecile whispered weakly.
“Yes, Cecile?” Saige replied.
“Saige, ple-please don’t blame yourself. Annika is right. I don’t blame you. You are one- one of the best sisters ever. And I bet that in time, you’ll be one of the greatest riders in the world. I-I love you, Saige. Please don’t blame yourself anymore.” Cecile used all of her strength to say those things. And that is part of what made it so special.
“Oh, Cece, thank you! I love you, too!” Saige said with a smile. Annika smiled, too. She was glad her sister had finally realized that it wasn’t her fault 🙂
A week passed and Cecile was finally ready to come home!
Hi Annika! Hi Saige! You’re late! You were supposed to be here 1 minute ago!” Cecile said and started laughing at her own joke.
Annika and Saige laughed! They were happy to see their sister back to normal again.
“YAAY!! Let’s go home!!” Cecile yelled and they all giggled.
Cecile had a big welcome when we got home. Everyone was glad to see her, well, except for Caleb 😀
Sometimes it’s nice to get out of the house and pick up a little treat. And that’s exactly what Cecile did!
“This line is taking kind of long.” Thought Cecile. She had been waiting for 10 minutes just to get a drink and a cake pop.
“Thank you, Rebecca! We’ll call you when your drink is ready. Napkins and straws are to your left.” Said Saige, the barista.
“Okay, thank you!” Said Rebecca.
“I can help the next guest in line!” Said Saige while looking at Cecile.
“Hi, what can I get started for you today?” Saige asked her customer.
“Hi, I’d like a Tall, Strawberries and Creme’, doubled blended, please.” Cecile said politely.
“One, Tall, Strawberries and Creme’ and did you say double blended?” Saige asked, making sure she got the order right.
“Yes, that’s right.” Cecile replied.
“Okay and will there be anything else for you today?” asked Saige.
“Hmmm… How about a Red Velvet Cake Pop?” Cecile ordered.
“Alright, and will that be all for you today?” Saige asked.
“Yes.” Cecile replied nicely.
“Okay, you’re total is $5.50.” Saige said.
Cecile dug in her wallet and pulled out her Debit card.
“Thank you! I’ll get your cake pop and we’ll call you when your drink is ready.” said Saige.
Saige picked out the nicest looking cake pop for Cecile.
“There you go!” Saige said, “Napkins and straws will be on your left.”
“Thank you!” Said Cecile.
Eli was busy at work making all of the drinks.
“One Tall Mocha Frapp with Whip!” Eli called.
“Thank you!” Said Rebecca.
“You’re welcome!” Eli replied.
While Cecile waited for her drink she enjoyed talking to the girl who was in line in back of her.
Pretty soon, Cecile heard Eli call out,
“One Tall Strawberries and Creme’ double blended!”
“Annika, when your drink is ready, would you like to sit with me? Unless you have to be somewhere-” Cecile said.
“No,” Annika interrupted, “I was planning on staying here anyways and
I would enjoy some company.”
Annika and Cecile drank their Starbucks together and had a great time. Not only had Cecile gotten an amazing drink, but she made an amazing friend as well.
Have your dolls ever been to Starbucks?
Hi and Merry Christmas again!!
So, whenever I introduce my “kids” to each other I always line them up or just set them up in some way. Well, today my mom came in my room just as I had finished lining them up. She decided that she had to take a picture because it is just so crazy how many there are.
I counted 11 toddlers and 11 of the 18″. WHOA! Now I have 12 of the toddlers and 12 of the 18″ 😛
If I keep getting dolls, pretty soon they are gonna end up sleeping on the floor! They are all totally squished in their beds right now. Poor little things- LOL!
How many dolls do you have? Where do they sleep?
Today I took the girls to get their Christmas photos taken! I think they turned out SO cute!
Here are my 4 oldest girls, Annika, Addy, Josefina, and Felicity.
My 3 middle girls, Kirsten, Saige, and Kanani.
And my four youngest, Caroline, Cecile, Marie-Grace, and Rebecca. I also had a few more pictures taken as well.
Annika looking at the giant silver ornament (I think she looks SO pretty here, don’t you?)
Felicity and Kirsten 🙂
And last, but not least…
ALL of my girls together!! I absolutely LOVE this! I think I’m going to have it framed, hehe! 😀
Are you going to *take* your dolls to have Christmas photos taken?
Hello Girls and their dollies!
First thank you all for your well wishes and prayers for Cecile. We all appreciate them so much!
Cecile had her surgery on Friday and it went pretty well. We have been visiting her every day since and she seems to be doing okay. I am mad with the doctors, though and I’ll tell you why.
When Cecile was admitted into the hospital she was unconcious, so of course she can’t talk. Well, the doctors only examined her head and neck area (since that’s where the unconcious-ness would come from) and didn’t even bother to examine her fully. So, the day after the operation, Cecile’s leg is in pain. It turns out she broke it. So, she has a cast on her leg and a brace/cast-thingy (I don’t really know what it’s called, lol) on her neck. She can’t come home until a week has passed from the surgery. Please continue to pray for Cece! Because after today’s visit we have HORRIBLE news!! 🙁
Read on to find out more:
“How are you feeling today, Cecile?” Annika asked her sister.
“Okay.” Cecile replied.
“Cece? I just want to tell you how sorry I am. This never would’ve happened if I hadn’t waited so long to tell you to slow down on Penny! You can blame me all you want!” Saige cried.
“Oh, Saige don’t cry! It wasn’t your fault! I don’t blame anyone for what happened. It just- happened. I’m sorry that you’ve thought I blamed you all this time. I really don’t.” Cecile said weakly and with tears in her eyes.
“Thank you Cece.” Saige said, but it didn’t quite seem like she believed it.
“Would you help me lie down? I’m feeling really tired.” Cecile asked.
Annika and Saige helped her to lie down. “Could you take the covers off? It’s so hot in here.” Cecile said.
Annika pulled down her blanket and folded it nicely at the foot of the bed.
“There you go, Cece. Is that better?” Annika asked.
“Thank you, but I’m still very hot.” Cecile said. Suddenly, Annika got worried.
She leaned down to put her hand on Cecile’s head. “Cecile you have a fever.” Annika said.
“Saige, go get Mommy and Doctor Jack! Tell them Cecile has a fever!” Annika said. She was very worried.
“Annika, what’s wrong? It’s just a fever.” Saige said.
“No, I don’t think it’s just a fever. Now go get Mommy! GO!” Annika raised her voice and it startled Saige. She had never heard Annika talk like that before. Saige darted out of the room.
“Oh, Cecile! You have to be alright! You just have to!” Annika cried.
I was in the room before the doctor and I pressed my hand against Cecile’s forehead. “Oh, my sweet girl!” I said.
“Is she going to be okay?” Saige asked.
“What’s wrong with her, Mommy?” asked Annika.
“Doctor Jack says that she has an infection. That’s what is causing the fever.” I said with tears in my eyes, but trying to be strong for my girls.
Saige started to cry and Annika had tears. Annika hugged her sister and said, “Saige, she’s going to be alright!”
“Annika, this is all my fault! We should’ve been in the ring with her. I should’ve told her what to do if Penny started going too fast or if she lost control!” Saige cried.
“Saige, listen to me. This is not your fault! There is no way anyone could tell what was going to happen. You heard her, she doesn’t blame you, I don’t blame you, and neither does anybody else. So, why should you go on blaming yourself?” Annika said. Saige just kept crying. “She’s going to be okay, Saige. I promise, okay?” Annika said and hugged her a little tighter.
“Okay.” Saige said and she started to calm down.
The doctors are gonna have to do another surgery. It’s scheduled for this evening. Hopefully it will all go well! 😕
That’s the end of Part 2! Part 3 will be posted as soon as I have the time 😉
Also, I just want to share this super sweet get well card that my friend Annie and her dolls sent in for Cecile:
Thank you SO much! Cecile really appreciates it! 🙂
Ever since Cecile discovered that we had horses she has wanted to learn how to ride. Well, the day for her to give it a try has finally arrived!
Annika and Rebecca came outside to watch.
“Good luck!” Annika said with a smile.
“You’ll do great!” Rebecca shouted.
“Thanks! I’ll need it!” Cecile replied.
“Do you think she’ll do alright?” Saige asked Felicity.
“Well, why wouldn’t she?” Lissie wondered.
“I dunno. It’s just that I’ve felt very un-easy all morning..” Saige explained.
“Oh, don’t worry, Saige! She’ll be fine.” Felicity said trying to cheer up her sister.
“I hope so. But if anything happens to her I will never ride again.” Saige said.
Cecile started off great and Felicity and Saige were doing great at guiding her around.
“That’s it, now bring her over here.” Saige said.
“Good job, Cece!” Felicity said. Cecile smiled broadly 😀
“Uh- Annika? Don’t you think she’s goin’ a little too fast?” Rebecca asked.
“Yes, she is. She needs to slow her down.” Annika said, getting worried.
“Cecile! Bring her to a walk!” Felicity said.
“You’re going too fast! Slow her down, Cece!” Saige shouted.
“I don’t know how to slow down!!” Cecile yelled.
“Pull back on the reins and-” Felicity started, but was interrupted by a scream.
“AAAAAAAH!!!!” Cecile screamed as Penny stood on her hind legs. Cece had lost complete control and then all of a sudden-
*THUD* Cecile fell backwards off of Penny.
All of the girls rushed to help her,
“Cece! Cece, wake up!”
“Is she okay?”
“Cece, please come back to us!”
I looked out the window to see my girls gathered around Cecile, who seemed to be unconsious. I ran outside and called an ambulance to come right away.
The doctors told me that she had injured her neck and needed surgery.
After fighting back some tears I asked the doctor,
“May I sit with her for a while?”
“Of, course.” The doctor replied.
I sat by her bed and prayed. Then I kissed her cheek and said, “I love you sweetie.”
That’s where we end part 1! I have a busy schedule the next few days, so I will be posting Part 2 on Monday 😉
Will Cecile be okay? Do you think Saige meant what she said about not riding again?
It was a busy day in the stables today. We were getting a foal and Felicity, Saige, and Annika were making all of the preparations.
Just when Saige was going to ask, “When will she get here?” mommy (me 😛 ) called out, “Girls! One of you needs to come out and get your new foal settled!”
Saige- “I’ll do it!!”
Annika- “I’m so excited to meet her! I wonder what she looks like…”
Felicity- “Probably adorable and beautiful!!” The sisters giggled with excitement!
Saige- “Here she is!”
Felicity- “Oooooh! Look at her eyes! She is so pretty!!”
Annika- “She’s adorable!!!”
Saige- “Isn’t she?!?” She sighed, “Girls, we have a problem. When we were leading her out of the trailer she stumbled. Her leg got scratched.”
Annika- “Oh, poor little thing! Don’t worry we’ll fix you up.”
Felicity- “I’ll lead Penny into the fields so you can have more room to work. Let me know when to lead her back in.”
So, Annika and Saige set to work!
Saige- “Easy, girl- easy!”
Annika- “Come here sweetie, I have to bandage you up.”
Annika- “There you are- good as new!”
Saige- “We’ll have to keep an eye on that leg, but she should mend in no time at all!”
The girls groomed her until she was nice and clean.
Annika watched her eat while Saige and Felicity talked about her injury.
Felicity- “Awww!! They look so sweet together!” She said as they watched Penny and her new friend eating.
Saige- “They sure do! Hey, what are we going to name her?”
Annika- “I have a suggestion.”
Felicity- “What is it?”
Annika- “Well, I’ve been reading the Lord of the Rings books and there are lots of interesting and beautiful names in there. So, today when I was reading there was a mini story about the Lady of Luthien. Why not name her Luthien?
Saige- “Oh, I love it! It’s so pretty!”
Felicity- “I think it’s unanimous, cause I love it, too!”
Annika- “Alright, Luthien it is!”
All of the girls love little Luthien 🙂
Today me and my mom went to Target. I was planning on purchasing a Laptop set from OG for $7, but they didn’t have it. When I saw this foal I knew I had to have her! She is a Morgan horse (which is the breed I ride), beautiful, and she came with a lot of accessories for only $18.99!!
I had such a hard time trying to decide on what to name her. I knew I wanted to name her something from LOTR. I wrote down a lot of names and I finally decided on Luthien. If you’re wondering how it’s pronounced it’s said like this:
Looth- ee- en
I’ll be doing a review on the whole set soon 🙂
Do you have a horse for your doll(s)?
Here it is! Part 2 of Annika’s and Saige’s Adventure!
So last we left off was that Annika & Saige heard something coming towards them! What could it be??
It’s a little baby Raccoon!
Annika- “AAAAAAAAH!!! A RACCOON!!
Saige- “Annika it’s ok! It’s just a baby! And lower your voice you could startle him.”
Annika whispered- “Are you sure it’s ok?”
Saige- “Yes, he’s probably just hungry that’s all.”
Saige- “Come on boy! You want some bread?”
Saige- “Go on- take it.”
The little raccoon settled down and ate.
Saige- “You see, Annika? It’s perfectly safe!”
Annika peeked around Saige’s shoulder to look at the raccoon.
Annika- “Weeelll… I guess so.”
Saige- “What are you doing?”
Annika- “I have a book about animals- there may be something about raccoons in here.”
Annika scanned through the book until she came across a page about raccoons.
Annika- “It says that at this young age it should have a mother nearby.”
Saige- “We have to go look for her! We have to re-unite her with her baby.”
Annika stood up and said- “Are you crazy? It’s cold, it’s dark, we’re not familiar with this place, and you wanna go search for a mommy raccoon?”
Saige- “Yep! We need to help them. What if there’s something wrong? What if something happened to his mom and he’s all alone?”
Annika- “Alright. I’ll come, too.”
Saige- “Thanks, Annika!”
Saige- “Wait- what’ll we do with him? Should we take him with us?”
Annika- “No, he’ll stay here. Give him the rest of our bread.”
Saige- “What? We’ll starve out here!”
Annika- “It’s ok! We’ll go home tomorrow or something. Now give him the food!”
Saige- “There you go boy! Now stay here until we get back!”
The girls walked on until Annika saw something…
Annika- “Look! Do you see that? Maybe it’s the mom raccoon!”
Saige- “Oh, no! She’s hurt her leg!”
Annika- “You stay with her! I’m gonna go rinse off my bandage in the stream over there!”
Annika- “So we can use it to bandage her up.”
Annika came back and she bandaged the raccoons leg while Saige calmed her.
Annika- “There- all better.”
Saige- “Come on let’s take her back to camp!”
Annika- “Hey, little one! We have a surprise for you!”
The mother and son ran to each other!
The sight was so touching to the girls and they realized that they were ready to go home and be with their families.
Have you ever helped an animal before?
Note: I don’t really know anything about raccoons, so if you notice that I’ve made a mistake- sorry!
