Difficult Time In My Life

Day 14 – Difficult time in myΒ life:

*Sigh* This is actually really hard for me to write, since I am going through a difficult time at the moment, but I am going to do my best.

You all know about our dear little Ella that we got almost 2 weeks ago. I wanted her so much. I loved her dearly. I anxiously waited for the day she would get to come home, but she was a challenge. She was a lot of work and on Thursday (5 days after we got her), my mom was having anxiety all day. She was exhausted every day since we got her and even though she was beautiful, funny, and adorable, she couldn’t wait for her to take another nap. Which I admit, I sometimes felt that way, too. We were both trapped in the kitchen, unable to really DO anything. So that day, my mom decided she couldn’t do it anymore. She called Sonia, the lady who gave her to us, and she came and took her back that night. It was so hard to let her go. To lose another pet – a member of the family once again. My heart broke and I missed seeing her the next morning. But as the days went on, I tried not to think about her so much. I didn’t want to live in depression like I did when we lost Majesty. But, yesterday I was thinking about her so much and I broke down and cried. I miss that little sweetheart, but I know that the right decision was made. Princess Ella Reign will be forever loved and missed <3

Prayers would also be much appreciated for me and my mom as we go through this πŸ™‚

Tomorrow’s “assignment” is going to be quite yummy, so I’ll talk to you all then! πŸ˜‰ πŸ™‚

  • Oh my gosh!!l πŸ™ That is so sad! I feel so bad for you and your mom…and the rest of your family too. πŸ™ Puppies, especially when they’re that young, are VERY hard to take care of. I don’t think I would be able to take care of Ella as long as your family did. Maybe you can try again with a dog that’s a little older. πŸ˜‰
I’ll be praying, Jaclynn! I know you and your family can make it through this! πŸ˜€

P.S. Looking forward to tomorrow’s delicious post! πŸ˜‰

    • Thank you, Sunny! Puppies are hard to take care of. Maybe someday we will get an older dog, but I don’t know πŸ˜•
      Thank you so much! πŸ™‚

  • I’m so sorry, Jaclynn! I’ll pray for you. I know how you feel. My two-year-old cat, Emily, died on the 12th.

    • Thank you, Loren! And oh my goodness, I’m so sorry for your loss, too. I’ll pray for you as well. It’s always so hard losing a pet πŸ™

  • I’m so sorry, Jaclynn! πŸ™ I will definitely be praying for you and your family during this time. I know how hard it is to lose a pet, but I also know how amazing God is, and that He is faithful to put who and what you need in your life in order to get through your times, and that He will hear your prayers.
If you need some uplifting verses, Jeremiah 29:11-14 has always helped me.
My heart goes out to you and your family and you are in my prayers πŸ™‚

    • Thank you so much! Your words mean a lot πŸ™‚
Those were good verses. Thank you for sharing them with me πŸ™‚

  • I am so sorry, Jaclynn. This must be really hard. πŸ™ I’ve never been able to own a pet, so I can’t truly understand how you’re feeling right now, but you’re in my prayers! πŸ™‚

  • I’m so very sorry. I do know how you feel and appreciate the strength it took for you and your mom to do what was right for the whole family, even Ella.

There are so very many dogs and other animals that need homes. perhaps you will find an older dog that needs you.

    Sending hugs.

    • Thank you so much! We know that Ella is happy because she is back with her parents and brother and sisters πŸ™‚

  • The girls from AGHomeschool wanted to let you know that we’re all praying for you, Jaclynn!

    • Oh, my gosh! Tell them I said thank you SO much! I can’t even tell you how much that means to me! You literally just brought a smile to my face πŸ™‚
      ~Jaclynn~

  • So sorry to hear this BUT you made the right decision. Puppies are difficult and it’s better to realize that it wasn’t working out now rather than weeks down the road when she’s become more attached. I had a friend who went through a very similar kind of thing. It’s not always for everyone and sometimes it’s just a matter of bad timing. (((HUGS)))

  • I’m so sorry. πŸ™

  • *Hugs* That is disappointing! It was so fun to read updates of her. I wish you the best!

    • Thank you πŸ™‚

      • Oh Jaclynn I am so sorry. This must be so hard. Just minutes ago, I felt the need to catch up on your blog because I have been on vacation. When I read this post I was reminded that here are truly no coincidences with God! I will ask my grandma (whose birthday happens to be today, she went to heaven last month. You may remember me telling you of her loss and asking for prayers) to watch over you and your family. God bless! I wish I was there to hug you.
        Love, prayers, and hugs,
        Katie M.

  • Oh my gosh! I am sorry! We have gone through quite a few dogs. My dad wanted to use them to help him on our farm. Our first do was like 6 yrs old. He wasn’t really a kid dog. He almost bit my sisters nose! So we had to give him away. Our second dog was we think a australian shepard and lab mix. She was a big puppy and didnt realize how strong she was. She also dug holes. So we had to give her away. My dad gave her to someone when I wasn’t home. I didn’t get to say goodbye to her. πŸ™ our last dog was really sweet and smart. A friend of ours gave him to us. She was really playful. But she figured out who live in our house and bit my grandpa. we had him for not even a week. The friend who gave him to us didn’t trust him around his kids anymore, so he put him down. πŸ™ Cats we have more luck with. We had one for 3 yrs. We found him under our car, we think he got bit by a snake. πŸ™ I cried cause i was attached to him. We have kittens right know that are cute! Hopefully we we will have them a long time! Sorry i am rambling on. I’m praying for you!

    • Oh, goodness! That’s awful! Especially about the one they put down. I’m so sorry for all of your losses and that one of them you were unable to say goodbye to πŸ™
      Thank you, Rebecca! πŸ™‚

  • This is way late, but I’m so sorry! Losing a pet, for whatever reason, is super hard. My cat, Sheegwa, passed away in January of old age, and my grandma’s Yorkshire Terrier (Corky) passed away a few years ago. She got a puppy, Mitzie, but she’s not a puppy anymore. I can’t imagine how hard it will be to lose her.
