Heaven’s Golden Majesty

Tomorrow my brother’s dog, Majesty (her full name is the title) is going to be put to sleep. My brother can’t afford the surgery/treatment she needs and he feels it’s best to put her to sleep and rid her of her pain. Β There is however a chance that someone else will adopt her and pay for all of her medical problems. But either way, we are losing her.

Majesty has grown from the most adorable little “Butter Ball” to a beautiful “Fluffy Pancake”. She is the sweetest thing and so funny. She doesn’t care about other dogs and will completely ignore them. She doesn’t bark regularly and I have probably heard her bark only about 6 or 7 times. I must say, though, her bark is amazing!
Majesty would have been 9 years old this November. I am going to miss this little “Puppy” so very much. I love you, Majesty <3

Prayers would be appreciated for my brother and all of us tomorrow as we say goodbye πŸ™

    Sounds like a great dog!
    Goodnight!
    Grace

  • Oh my goodness! I am so, so, so, so, so, so, sorry for your loss. I know what it’s like to lose a pet. My aunt’s cat Blanca passed away naturally right before Christmas 2013. She was our favorite cat. πŸ™ It’s going to be tough, let me tell you. I was crying. πŸ™ Just remember that God is with you every step of the way. Kellyβ™₯
‘Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.’-Dr. Seuss. (I know you’re going to cry, but remember to smile. Majesty will want it that way.) πŸ™‚

    • Thank you, Kelly! It’s very sad πŸ™
Aw, I’m sorry about Blanca πŸ™
Yeah, I was crying like all day yesterday. Yes, He is πŸ™‚
Thank you so much! I appreciate all your kind words πŸ™‚
      ~Jaclynn~

  • Oh, I’m so sorry!:( I’ll be praying for you, and Majesty, as much as I can. She’s really beautiful.

  • I’m so sorry, Jaclynn! I’ll definitely pray for you and your family.
    -Abigail β™₯

  • oh no! i had to put my dog down of old age. i feel so orry for your bro.

  • ps shes adorable. i hope shefinds a home.

  • Aw, that is so sad! My cat had cancer but she died before we had the chance to put her down.

    • Oh, that is really sad! My brother is afraid of that happening to Majesty. I hope that doesn’t happen πŸ™
      ~Jaclynn~

  • Oh I’m so sorry! It is always so sad to say goodbye to a furry companion. Majesty looks like such a beautiful dog too! I will be praying for all of you! πŸ™

  • Oh my gosh! That is awful!
I know if it was my dog, I’d cry for months!
At least, when Majesty is gone, you’ll know she’ll be in a better place, where she feels no pain and can live a healthy life again.

She is so, so beautiful and sounds like the perfect dog.
Even though it is so sad, keep your chin up and head high – be the sort of person Majesty would want you to be (if she was a person – I hope this is helping, if not it’s just a load of rubbish.) but don’t be afraid to cry!

    Hope this helps,
    Charlotte

    • That’s very true. My brother said we have to think of it as if we’re helping her, which we are, but it’s all still very sad πŸ™
Yeah, she may be a tad disobedient, but she is a perfect dog πŸ™‚
Yes, it does help πŸ™‚ Thank you!
      ~Jaclynn~

  • Aww, I feel really bad. I know how it feels when you lose your pet, my cat got lost once. I hope someone adopts her or somehow you will be able to keep her πŸ™

    • Thank you! And I’m sorry about your cat. Did you ever find her/him?
      ~Jaclynn~

      • No, she got lost. I heard about Majesty. I’m so sorry. Maybe you could get a different dog, but I know that he/she would never take the place of Majesty. ;(

        • I’m so sorry πŸ™
Thank you! My mom said that we will probably never get a dog again, though. But I think my brother might, once he’s moved out and married.
But like you said, the dog will never replace Majesty πŸ™
          ~Jaclynn~

  • I’m sooooo sorry! I know you and your family must be pretty sad about that. When my cats had to be put to sleep I was crushed. Praying. πŸ™

    ~Lydia~ <3

  • Awww! I am so sorry Jaclynn! It’s always sad when someone has to loose a pet. My dad actually had a Husky Monty a long time ago, who was really an awesome dog, and had some very weird habits (like only eating french toast with syrup on it, something Monty learned from my grandma), and rarely barked. He eventually got a tumor, and had to be put down πŸ™
Will you guys get another dog or animal in a few months, or are you done with dogs?
I’ll be praying for you all πŸ™‚
    ~Carli

    • Thank you, Carli!
Awww, I’m sorry about Monty. I love huskys! I bet he was really pretty πŸ™‚
Oh, I have no idea. We haven’t talked about that yet, cause it’s just too soon, you know? πŸ™
      Thank you for you prayers!
      ~Jaclynn~

      • You’re welcome!
He was a pretty sweet dog. Me too, they’re one of my favorites! πŸ˜€
        Yeah, that makes sense πŸ™‚
        You’re welcome!
        ~Carli

  • Thank you all so much for your words and prayers! It is all so appreciated!

    And here’s a little update-
My brother decided to take her in for the tests she needs to find out what exactly is wrong (because it is one of several really bad things), so we will be doing that today. Praying that it will go well and that we’ll be able to heal her πŸ™
    ~Jaclynn~

  • Okay, I’m still praying. I hope you can heal her. πŸ™‚

  • I am so sorry!!! I know how it is to lose a pet.
I will continue to pray for you, and just remember It’s o.k. to feel sad, it helps to pray, and God is with you in your struggles!

  • I am so sorry! I will be praying for you and your family. Actually, we are going through the same problem, only with our cat, Buckie. The Lord gives and takes away, blessed is the name of the Lord. I have been saying that to myself all day, I hope this verse helps you as well. I will be praying that the testing goes well.
    God bless,
    Lacie

    • Thank you, Lacie!
I am so sorry about your cat, Buckie. You must love him very much πŸ™
Will be praying for you and your family and Buckie as well.
      ~Jaclynn~

  • I am so very sorry to hear this. My heart is aching for you and your family and am definitely sending prayers your way.

  • Oh, so is there a possibility that you might keep her if it won’t be super expensive?
    ~Carli

  • aw… I feel like crying! :'( your family will be in my prayers. πŸ™‚ ~Leah

  • My dog recently got put down, too. My parents did it while I was at school, and when I got home they told me that they had went to the vet’s dropped her off, and left. I felt so bad, like we had left her to die alone. It didn’t help when I read an article that says that dogs look for thier owners when they leave them to be put down, like they know what’s going to happen. I hope you got to say goodbye to majesty.

  • I am praying for you, too. I almost forgot to say that, and I guess my comments are a little late

  • You and your family are in my prayers. I’m so sorry to hear about this, Jaclynn!

  • That’s sad. I hope someone adopts her at the last moment.

  • Majesty had her tests today. If we did the surgery she needed she would only have had a 25% chance to live. My brother (and all of us) decided to put her down.
She is gone now, and we said goodbye and I saw her dead. I couldn’t believe it was her and I kept thinking how strange it was that she wasn’t just asleep and if we hugged her she didn’t lick us or move or anything. We all feel so empty inside and I miss her so much. I am crying and crying. It was so hard to leave her there πŸ™
Thank you all for your prayers and kind words. They help and mean so much at a time like this πŸ™
    ~Jaclynn~

    • I’m so sorry Jaclynn! You and your family will be in my prayers. I find that in times like these it helps to just open your Bible and read it. It helps a lot. I will be praying.
      God bless,
      Lacie
P.S Thank you for your prayers for Buckie.

      • Thank you, Lacie!
Yes, you’re right. I read some the other day and it made me feel a little better.
        Thank you, again!
        ~Jaclynn~
        P.S. You’re welcome!

    • Oh my goodness. That must have been awful for you. πŸ™ I am keeping you in my prayers for a long time. I’m going to go hug my puppy Ruthie now. πŸ™ I don’t know what I’d do if she got sick. Kellyβ™₯

      • It was and still is. It was very hard to leave her there and today when I look in the backyard I get very sad and just want to cry. It feels very lonely and empty back there πŸ™
        Thank you so much, Kelly!
        ~Jaclynn~

    • I am sooo sorry. I will pray for you. I just saw this, and Majesty looks like she was a very good dog. Try to think of the happy times you had with her.

      • Thank you, Aqua! Yes, she was a great dog. The sweetest little thing and she loved us all so much. πŸ™
        ~Jaclynn~

    • I’ll keep praying for you!
I felt terrible when my grandma’s cat was put down, so I know how it feels, but only a little. I can imagine what it’s like, though, and I’m praying.

      • PS I don’t know if it’s any help, but when an animal I love is gone, I always try to think of other things, and do things that will take my mind off it, even if I don’t want to do them at first. (Reading a book often works for me.)

        • I want to do that, but I just feel like I can’t do anything. I miss that little “Puppy” so much πŸ™
          ~Jaclynn~
P.S. Thank you, though for the advice!

      • Thank you, Nikki!
        ~Jaclynn~

    • OH NO! I just got on, and saw this. I’m so sorry Jaclynn, I’ll be praying for you! I know you miss Majesty. My grandparents’ dog, Daisy, is getting very old and I’ll miss her if she dies. :'(

      • Thank you, Madison! I miss her very much πŸ™
Oh, I’m sorry. Since you realize that she’s getting older try to spend as much time with her as you can! I told myself I would go out back more and pet her a few months back, but I never did. Not once. I have a lot of regret because of that πŸ™
        ~Jaclynn~

    • I am SO sorry. I know it’s hard when a pet is put down. They are like one of the family (well, they are) and it’s just so sad. All of our cats had to be put down and I was crushed. I didn’t come out of my room for a day. πŸ™

I’m praying for you, and I know God will comfort you and your family. πŸ™‚ πŸ™

      • It is very hard. I will never forget how she looked when we walked in the room after she was put to asleep. It broke me πŸ™
Oh, my gosh! That is so sad. I’m really sorry about that πŸ™

        Thank you so much, Lydia!
        ~Jaclynn~

    • I’m sorry Jaclynn. I will be praying for you and your family. It is nice to hear so many people on here saying they will pray. It’s nice to have doll friends who love the Lord. I hope you all will feel better soon.

      -Morgan

  • That is so sad! πŸ™ I will definitely be praying!

  • I’m so sorry Jaclynn! It’s hard when an animal (or person) that you love dies. I know it is hard to keep your mind off her. But for now, try watching an uplifting movie, or do something that makes you happy. And remember, all your memories of her that are painful now, will eventually turn into treasured memories πŸ™‚
    ~Carli

  • Majesty was so lucky to have you, Jaclynn. I’m so sorry you have to go through this, and I am praying tons for you and your family during this tough time.

  • That is terrible! I can’t imagine my dog being put to sleep.
She looks and sounds like a beautiful dog with an amazing personality. I bet somebody who can afford the treatment and possible future treatment will adopt her…. I definitely would! But if she is put to sleep, then it’s good she’s being put out of her pain. Also, remember that you will never really lose her! She will always be with you, no matter what. πŸ™‚

    • Yes, she was. Her personality was perfect for our family πŸ™‚
That’s very true. Thank you, Lucy!
      ~Jaclynn~

  • Hey,Jaclynn!!!
Wanted to check up on you and your family πŸ™‚
    Hope all is well!
    Grace πŸ˜€

    • Hi Grace!
Thank you for checking in! Yesterday was kind of okay because we had to be happy for Father’s Day, but today I am feeling a little more sad. And so is my mom. I haven’t seen my brother yet, so I don’t know how he is today.
Yesterday morning was very hard, though. πŸ™
      Thanks again!
      ~Jaclynn~

      • Aww!
Hope you feel better very soon!
I’ll keep you in my prayers.
I know it’s hard to let some things go sometimes, but God has a plan-just wait and see!!!!
        πŸ™‚
        Grace

        • Thank you, Grace! I am doing better today. I haven’t cried, but I have gotten sad. At least it’s a step πŸ™‚
Yes, I’m sure He does πŸ™‚
          ~Jaclynn~

  • Aww, Jaclynn, I am so sorry for your loss!!!! πŸ™
Majesty sounded like a lovely dog, and though it’s sad you lost her, she’s now in a better place and pain free. That thought is comforting at the very least.
I know what it’s like to lose a pet; we lost our cat some years back and it was horrible. The house just seemed empty without her, so I know how you feel.
I hope you’re doing okay, and hang in there. You’ll be in my prayers. πŸ™‚
    ~Maggie

    • Thank you, Maggie!
Yes, she was an awesome dog. πŸ™ It is comforting…
That is exactly how it is for us! Majesty was an outdoor dog, so the entire backyard just feels empty and lonely. Every time I look out there I get so sad πŸ™
      Thank you so much, Maggie!
      ~Jaclynn~

  • Thank you all again! Every one of your comments are such a comfort! πŸ™‚
    ~Jaclynn~

  • I am praying lots for you, and your family, Jaclynn. It really stinks you have to go this. Love and prayers,
    Katie

  • Aww, this is the saddest thing! I love the pictures you chose for this post though and her little nicknames made me laugh πŸ™‚

P.S. OMG! You haven’t posted in almost a week! Are you posting once or twice a week now?

    • Yeah, it was really hard to write…
Haha! Had to put Fluffy Pancake πŸ˜‰
      ~Jaclynn~
P.S. Oh, my gosh! I didn’t even know that it’s been that long! I’m gonna take some pics for a post today, though.
It’s not really a set schedule I just post randomly πŸ˜€

  • i only have 3 words I’m so sorry πŸ™
