My AG Store!

OK, time to show you my set-up of an AG Store! It had to be really small and different than the others of course and I didn’t use my Bitty’s because I didn’t have room this time.

image

Here are the dolls and underneath (on the bunk under them) are the clothes that didn’t have boxes to be put in.

image

The boxed clothes, BerryΒ Wheelchair, Baking Table, Baking Accessories, Saige’s Painting Set, Penny, and other care supplies.

image

Right outside my bedroom door was the perfect spot for all of my American Girl books, sets, and movies!

image

Here’s my register. I have some birthday stickers to hand out, American Girl receipts, “Featured Items” (hehe!), gift cards, and packs of cards that came with Felicity’s outfits!

What do you think of my store? Do/have you ever played American Girl Store?

I’ve made one with a hair salon before, too! But then things got moved around in my room so now I have no room to do that- hehe!

  • OH MY GOSH HOW ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ I’ve played AG store before – if you have seen my stopmotion, Molly Goes Shopping, that’s it!:D

  • Hi!
Wow, that looks awesome!!! πŸ˜€ LIGHTBULB!!! I will make my own! xD

    Love, Dee

  • WOW!!! You are so creative!!! I would have never thought of something like that!! SO CUTE!!! I want to do that with my dolls but I did not keep most of the boxes… Do you have any ideas what I could do?? Right now my dolls are pretending they are in a penthouse!! Hehehe! I LOVE IT!! GREAT JOB!!! I hope you are feeling better now Jaclynn!!
    An american girl fan forever,
    Grace

    • LOL! Thank you, Grace! Yeah, I had to keep telling my mom I would get rid of them AFTER I play AG Store! Hehe! Well, for the clothes/outfits that didn’t have boxes I just layed down in piles wih their complete sets.
How cute! That sounds like fun, too!
Thank you, again! Yes, I am feeling a lot better! Still not completely well, but I’m getting there :)
      ~Jaclynn~

  • wow!!!!! This is so cool! I bet is was really fun to make. :) I noticed you had the Caroline 6-book set. Lucky! I wanted that so bad but my mom didn’t think I should get because it comes with the first book and I already own it because it came with the doll. I cant wait to go to the AG store soon for my birthday. I’ve been there before but not it a while now. I’m going when their playing the Saige movie at the store and with some birthday money I’m hoping to get Saiges sparkle dress.

    • Thank you! It is fun to make- just quite a bit of work! LOL!
Oh, yes, my mom bought it for me *for school* hehe! Yeah, that’s the problem. I like that the dolls come with a book but I wish they didn’t sometimes- because it’s not like you can sell it online for very much money if you get a double!
How fun! Are they doing a special event thing for her movie or something? I LOVE that dress! It’s so pretty! I just don’t really care for the boots. I hope to get that though- Saige needs a fancy dress! Hehe!
I hope you have fun when you go :)
      ~Jaclynn~

      • Lol my mom said the same thing! She didn’t care for the boots either lol! The AG historical books are great for school I think because have a lot of neat facts at the end of the book…. and of course they’re just fun to read! :) Oh and yes on June 28th the gonna play her movie in the store and give out a free goody bag it said. So yeah I’m excited! :)

        ~ Theresa

        • oops I meant they are gonna not the gonna. Lol

          ~Theresa

        • That’s funny! My mom thought they were cute- hehe! πŸ˜›
They really are! Even if I’m 14 I can still read them for school because they have a lot of interesting facts about history in them :)
Oh, that’s so cool! I wonder if I could go that day…. But it will probably be really crowded! I don’t like crowdedness- LOL! πŸ˜€
          ~Jaclynn~

          • Wait- How are they playing it on June 28th if it comes out in July??
            ~Jaclynn~

          • Yeah there probably will be crowds.

Well they are letting people watch the movie before it comes out so thats another reason why its so cool.

            ~ Theresa

          • That is really cool! I would do that, but I think I would rather watch it in the comfort of my own home, instead of with a TON of other girls I don’t even know! Hehe! :)
            ~Jaclynn~

  • That’s so fun! :) Bu I have a question: Why didn’t you put the AG dolls with all of their stuff? Just wondering. And do you not have the boxes for your dolls anymore?
I think that I played some sort of doll store. Not AG, but a doll store none the less. :) I think that your doll store is fun. :) How do you play it?
I hope you are feeling better now! :)
    ~Christian Homeschooler

    • Thanks!
Well, their stuff is on the bunk under them and I tried to put them in line with the dolls. Plus a lot of the set-up is different than in real life. It’s kinda hard to do that πŸ˜‰
No, I don’t. It takes up too much room so I usually save one box until I get a new doll and then I throw the out the old one. But when we cleaned our garage recently I had to get rid of Saige’s and Caroline’s I believe! Oh well :/
Oh, so just a basic doll store that sell all kinds of dolls and doll stuff? That’s a good idea! I’ll have to try that sometime :)
Well, I have to be the employee and the customer so first I’m the employee saying stuff like “Hi, welcome! Have you been here before?” and “How many dolls do you have?” And “Can I help you find anything?” And then I’ll be the customrer answering those questions, then they shop, then there’s the checking out, and yeah. It’s fun πŸ˜€
Yes, I am almost completely better- thank you :)
      ~Jaclynn~

      • That’s too bad that you can’t keep all your boxes. Quite understandable, though. :/
Right. :) I don’t think we did that many times, though. Sometimes we would play Christmas. Like, someone’s the mom and the kids write wish lists, and then the mom gets stuff for them. Sometimes we used real stuff, and then other times we used the catalog for stuff.
Oh, I’m glad you are better! :)
        ~Christian Homeschooler

        • Yeah, it is :/
That’s awesome! I LOVE playing Christmas with my dolls at Christmas time! November and December is my favorite time to play with them. It seems like all of my imagination just bursts out at that time of year- hehe! Last year was so fun cause I had a Christmas tree and decorations for them! AND I bought/made them presents πŸ˜€
          Thanks :)
          ~Jaclynn~

          • YOU HAD A DOLL CHRISTMAS TREE?! That’s SO cool! What kind of Christmas tree for dolls do you have? American Girl?
Hey, I made presents for dolls! :)
            ~Christian Homeschooler

          • Yep! I think it was just like a mini tree for adults! I got it at the thrift store for like $15! It was so awesome! And then I went to Hobby Lobby and bought some decorations anda tree skirt for it :)
Really? What kind of presents? Did you sew things for them?
            ~Jaclynn~

  • Well yeah sorta I guess… If u count it with u!!!:) it took SO long!:) I hope ur feeling better now!;)

    • LOLOLOL! Yes, that counts! It really did! We hardly had any actual play-time! Hehe!
Yes, I am! Not all the way there yet but I’m feeling a lot better :)
      ~Jaclynn~

  • Jaclynn:
Well, I sewed skirts, and I made a doll book, and a personal size chocolate pie. I also made a doll book. Basically, my dolls made gifts for the other dolls. :)

    • That’s awesome! What was the doll book like? :)
      ~Jaclynn~

      • Well I made the cover and back out of card board and then I taped some pages in the book. And I printed out a image for the cover. The book is Ivanhoe. Have you heard of it? It is actually a big book in real life. πŸ˜‰

        ~Christian Homeschooler

        • VERY creative! You make me want to do that for my dolls!
No, I’ve never heard of it. Although the name makes me thing of something….. oh! It makes me think of Idaho! LOLOLOL! πŸ˜€
          ~Jaclynn~

  • That is SO cool! It looks so perfect! I haven’t played that with my dolls, but it looks like a lot of fun! I’ll have to try that sometime!
    ~Carli

    • Thank you, Carli! Yay! You’re back! πŸ˜€
Oh, yes you should! It’s a lot of fun :)
I hope you had a good trip!
      ~Jaclynn~

  • So you have the whole Rebecca series, Molly series, Felicity series, Samantha series and Addy series, Kirsten series, Josefina series, and Caroline series. Wow! That’s a lot. We have the whole Felicity series and Josefina series. I think those are the only full series we have. But we have most of the Molly series, two Samantha books, some short stories, a Kit book, and a Kirsten book. I read the Rebecca series and the Marie Grace & Cecile series from the library. When did you get all you AG books? What kind of HC books do you like the best? The oldest kind, the middle kind or the new kind? I like the oldest kind the best ’cause-well, it is the oldest! πŸ˜€ Also, I think it looks the best. I don’t like the new covers very much at all. BTW, did you ever think about the fact that the Julie, Kaya, Rebecca, Marie Grace & Cecile, and Caroline books have the wrong titles? Like, they are supposed to be Meet__, ____ Learns a Lesson, ______’s Surprise, ____Saves the Day, and Changes for ___. They kept some of them, but basically they ruined it. That’s how I feel about it anyway. What do you think? And would like to know what anyone thinks about it, not just Jaclynn. :)
    ~Christian Homeschooler

    • Yep! Pretty much! LOL! I know, it is a lot :)
Really? You should have all of them since you love to read so much! Hehe! πŸ˜‰
I have no idea. We’ve had like all of the original ones for as long as I can remember. My sister grew up loving AG and would read them so that’s why. We didn’t have the complete Felicity series though. We bought the rest a couple of years ago.
Ummmm- I’m not sure! I like them all for a different reason, I think. Hehe! I don’t like the artwork for Marie-Grace’s and Cecile’s books, yet I like the artwork for Saige’s, Mckenna’s, and Kanani’s. I think in the older books though, it looks a little more believable for how the doll looks.
Yes, I noticed that. I didn’t like that they changed the titles. Like the titles are still good but I liked how each and every one of the books for every doll had the same title. It just had something special about it :)

And, yes! Anyone can talk to anyone on here! You don’t have to just talk to me- make some friends! :)
      ~Jaclynn~

      • Well, you are right-I do! :) But you know, those AG books ARE kind of small. πŸ˜‰ So they are probably something that I wouldn’t buy from Amazon. I really would like to read the McKenna and Saige books, though. I have read the rest of the GOTY, I believe, except for Lindsey.
Yeah, I noticed the first two books of that series were newer. πŸ˜‰
Hey, I don’t like the art work for those books either! In fact, I think a lot of the pictures of Marie Grace look down right terrible!
Yeah, it is really too bad that they changed it. What does every one who read this think about the AG first(Marie Grace & Cecile)? I don’t think that it was very good!
        :)
        ~Christian Homeschooler

        • I only have read Saige’s and Kanani’s. I started reading Meet Mckenna and then stopped. LOL!
          Haha! You are very observant!
I know, right? So does Cece! They don’t even look like the dolls!
You mean the first books? You don’t like it? Or you don’t like the artwork? I’m confused! Hehe :)
          ~Jaclynn~

          • How could you stop reading a book like that? πŸ˜€ Is it boring or something? πŸ˜‰
I am talking about the fact that they never did anything like that before. Like two dolls-but neither one is the friend. And the books are NOTHING like they are supposed to be. There are only three about each girl, and there is no Christmas, birthday, nothing! Oh, and also, did you know that all the HC’s are supposed to have a 4 at the end of their date? Like, 1904 is Samantha, Kaya is 1764, Julie is 1974, and so on. They changed that too with Caroline and Marie Grace & Cecile. I wasn’t pleased about that. :/
            ~Christian Homeschooler
P.S. THANKS so much for the emails! :) :)

          • Haha! No, it’s not! I liked what I was reading but when I finsihed a chpater I put it down and never picked it up again.
Oooh! I like what they did with Marie-Grace and Cecile! I think it’s really cool. I do wish though, that they made Lydia or what’s her name- the one who boards with them? I think her name is Rhonda. It would’ve been cool if they made one of them :)
I never noticed that! Well, are you sure they’re supposed to- or was it just coincedental?
            ~Jaclynn~
P.S. You’re welcome! I still have a few more to reply to, though πŸ˜‰

  • You’re welcome, and yes I am! Yay! πŸ˜€
Thanks, I had a great time!
    ~Carli

  • Jaclynn:
Okay! Yeah, sometimes that happens to me. πŸ˜€
    Oh really? That’s interesting.
Uh, I think you are talking about the Caroline books. hehe!
Well, I am pretty sure it isnot, because all of them up to Rebecca had it. That seems like it had to be on purpose. Don’t you think?
    Well, that’s okay. πŸ˜‰ I did send a lot. πŸ˜‰
    ~Christian Homeschooler

    • Yeah, I was talking about Caroline! LOL! This is getting confusing πŸ˜›
Hmm… could be and yet it may not be! You never know :)
Hehe! I’m gonna reply to some more right now πŸ˜‰
      ~Jaclynn~

      • Funny, too! πŸ˜€
Yes, well, I think it is. hehe
Great! I’ll be looking for them. :)
        ~Christian Homeschooler

  • Okay here I am I will now comment on you blog!!! Your doll store is so cute!! I might make one soon… oh I sent in another photo-shoot to AG fan jaclynn thanks for your site!
    AGlover <3

    • Hi Grace! It’s good to see you on here :)
      Thank you!
Awesome! I can’t wait to see it πŸ˜‰
      ~Jaclynn~

  • Oh, and Jaclynn, where’d you get the doll ironing board? It’s so cute!
    ~Carli
P.S. Did you hear about the tornado in Oklahoma?

    • Oh, that’s not for dolls! That for little girls! Hehe! I use it for stuff like that sometimes. I actually got it years ago for Christmas! I think it might’ve been from Toys R Us but I’m not sure :)
      ~Jaclynn~
      P.S. Yes, I did! It’s very sad :(

      • Oh I see! I can’t believe I didn’t see Penny right next to it! I was begining to wonder if it wasn’t for the dolls, because I haven’t sen a ironing board for dolls anywhere! It’d be cool if they did have one, though.
        ~Carli
P.S. Have you seen any videos of the tornado on the news?

        • LOL! Yeah, that could’ve answered your question πŸ˜›
Well, there’s a table top ironing board for dolls by Our Generation but it’s not that great.
It would be cool! Actually AG sells one in one of Kit’s set! I think it’s Kit’s Wash Day Set or something like that πŸ˜‰
          ~Jaclynn~
P.S. Yes, my mom showed me.

          • Yes, it would have. Hehe!
Oh there is? What do you mean, not that great? Do you mean quality wise, or how it looks?
Oh yeah, there is one, but you have to buy the whole set to get it.
            ~Carli
            P.S. Oh okay. It’s really sad :(

          • Kinda both. Our Generation isn’t very good quality and they make their items too small :/
It came in a sewing set.
I know! And it’s a lot of money, too!
            ~Jaclynn~
            P.S. I know :(

  • Oh, did you use your doll’s bunk bed for the set up?
    ~Christian Homeschooler

  • Are you doing from a friend Friday soon? Your tour of your doll room was fun!

    • Oh, on AGFan? No, I haven’t planned on it. Probably all of my posts will be here now πŸ˜‰
And I’m glad you liked my tour! Hehe! :)
      ~Jaclynn~

  • Oh and that horse behind Marie-Grace and Felicity, did your Mom crochet that?
    ~Carli

  • Oh okay. I’ll have to go look at it today.
Exactly! It’s really expensive, and you have to buy the entire set to get it, which seems like another way to make more money.
    ~Carli
P.S. Sorry, I couldn’t find the ‘reply’ thing by your comment!

    • It is! Why can’t they just make an ironing set? With an ironing board, iron, and squirt bottle? That’d be so cute! But knowing how AG prices things- it’d be like $80-$85! LOL!
      ~Jaclynn~
      P.S. It’s ok πŸ˜‰

      • I know! It’d look so cute a doll room! Yeah, knowing AG. But if they don’t come out with one soon here I’m might make my own! Which is probably what I’ll end up doing, and right as I finish it, they’ll make an ironing board set, which will make me mad! Hehe!
        ~Carli

        • It really would!
LOLOLOL! That totally sounds like something that would happen in our family! For example- my mom buys something at the store for $20 and a week later it’s on sale for $10! LOLOL! πŸ˜€
          ~Jaclynn~

          • Hehe! Exactly! That sounds like my family! Like, when I purchase something at AG and then a few weeks later, I find something I want more! Or when something’s on backorder from AG, and I save up for it, and then they take it off backorder! Which again, will make me mad! Hehe! πŸ˜€
            ~Carli

          • Oh, that happens with me! Only I’ll buy something from Target and then I’ll want something from AG more!
            LOL! πŸ˜€
            ~Jaclynn~

  • Hehe! πŸ˜€
    ~Carli
