It was such a hot day, so Jess called her friend Samantha to see if she wanted to get some ice cream. Samantha gladly accepted her invitation.
“Hi, welcome to Tyson’s Ice Cream Parlor!” The kind lady from behind the counter called.
“What can I get started for you today?” She asked.
“I’d like a vanilla ice cream cone, please.” Jess said. “What are you gonna have, Samantha?”
“Hmm… I think I’m gonna have a scoop of pistachio.” Samantha replied.
“Alright, you’re total is $5.00.” The lady said.
“I’ll pay for both of us, okay?” Jess said to Samantha.
“Aw, okay. Thank you, Jess!” Samantha said gratefully.
The lady placed the cone under the ice cream dispenser.
She pushed on the pump and beautiful, yummy ice cream came out.
“Here’s your vanilla ice cream cone!” The lady said as she handed Jess the cone.
“Thank you!” Jess replied with a big smile. She couldn’t wait to lick that refreshing ice cream!
When Samantha’s ice cream was ready they went to a nice little table in the corner where they could chat peacefully.
“Thanks again, for buying my ice cream! You didn’t have to, you know.” Samantha said.
“I know, but I wanted to.” Jess replied kindly.
Samantha dove right in to her ice cream. “Mmm! Just what the doctor ordered!” Samantha said.
Jess took a big, and I mean BIG lick of her ice cream and let out a sigh of refreshment. “I couldn’t agree more!”
What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?
Hey everyone! I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a while, but the computer I use for all of my blogging isn’t working right now, so I have to wait for a chance to get on my mom or dad’s computer. And now I can finally post! Yay! 😀
On Friday afternoon Annika and Jess were just hanging out and getting to know each other a little better.
“It must be hard for you to get used to such a ginormous family. Especially since you’ve never had any brothers or sisters of your own.” Annika said kindly, but just as she was about to continue she noticed a sad look on Jess’s face. “Jess, are you okay? I didn’t mean to make you upset.” Annika apologized.
“It’s not your fault. It’s just that- I have had siblings before…” Jess’s voice trailed off and tears welled up in her eyes.
“What happened to them?” Annika asked. “But, I understand if you don’t wanna talk about it.”
“No, it’s good to talk about these things with someone. It can be comforting.” Jess let out a sigh and began her story, “You already know that my parent’s died just a few weeks ago. They were archaeologists and I went with them on their last trip. They had to sail to another part of the island, but it was nighttime and there was a storm. Everyone, including me, tried to convince them to wait until the storm had passed, but they didn’t listen. I watched them sail away and I saw the sea devour their ship.” By now, Jess had tears streaming down her cheeks. “Every time I close my eyes at night I see my parents and their ship being destroyed.”
“Oh, Jess! I am so sorry that you had to see that and also that you’re parents died. But-” Annika paused as she tried to figure out how she was going to ask this. “But, you said you had siblings. Were they on the ship, too?”
“No, they weren’t. They died four years ago, when I was 10. Heather and Jason were my older brother and sister. Heather was 16 and Jason was 17. We all went on a trip to Belize with our parents, for their work. And one day we three were exploring in one of the caves when suddenly it began to cave in. Since I was younger they sent me running first while they grabbed our backpacks. I made it out of the cave safely and I remember seeing their faces filled with fear as they were running out and they were almost safe, but-”
Jess turned her head to away to hide her tears.
“But, what?” Annika asked.
“The rocks fell in front of them. They didn’t make it.” Jess replied, her voice shaky from crying.
Annika jumped from her seat and gave her sister a big hug. “I am so sorry, Jess!” Annika said and she, too, was crying.
Jess tried blinking away her tears, but they still came pouring down. It was going to take a long time to get used to her new family.
Did any of your “daughters” ever know their real “parents”?
I’m SO excited!!! Jess arrived yesterday around 5 and I couldn’t be happier!! I took some pictures of her this morning and I’m ready to show you all! 😀
Oh, my gosh! Isn’t she SOO pretty?! I made the kerchief she’s wearing yesterday to match her Meet Outfit 🙂
She had to borrow Saige’s sandals, because she didn’t have any of her own 😉
Pretty girl 🙂
I just HAD to take a picture of her in front of these flowers!
Okay, I know those are weeds, but they look so pretty surrounding her!! 😀
I can’t believe I have Jess!! She is so beautiful and I just love her!!
I will be taking more pictures of her soon and will show you her bangs that were given to her. I personally think they are really cute! 🙂
For those of you who are wondering how old Jess is, she is now my oldest “daughter” being 14 years old. Hmm.. I wonder how Annika will feel about that, since she has been the oldest for quite a while now 😉
Who is your favorite GOTY doll?

Thank you all for submitting such lovely pictures and being a part of this week’s Tell Us Tuesday!
If you would like to send in pictures for next Tuesday, here’s how it works:
You send in a picture of your doll(s) (the most you can send is three pictures) through my Contact Form with a description. Please remember to attach the image(s)! Also, your images must be 2MB or smaller (please not too small, though) otherwise the Contact Form will not allow you to send in pictures 😉
Have a wonderful day!
Okay, so you know how I shared my AG Shopping List with you? And how I said I was going to buy Arwen (MAG light skin, layered black-brown hair, brown eyes) because she looked like Jess and it would be cheaper to buy her than a Jess in good condition? Well, today my mom was on the computer (in an AG selling group on Facebook) and she told me that a lady had Jess’s Pajamas and her Meet Outfit (without shoes) for $43 shipped. I told my mom to write “SOLD” on the post and when my mom was messaging the lady she asked if we were interested in buying Jess. She offered the two outfits, Jess’s book, and Jess for $120 shipped!! I’m sure you can imagine my confusion and excitement! I didn’t know what to do! Buy Jess or Arwen. Jess also was given bangs, so that was the only thing preventing me from purchasing her. Then finally I said, “Sold!”
I can’t believe I’m getting her!!! It was such a good deal and I’m VERY excited!!
Doesn’t she look so pretty?! Aside from the haircut she seems to be in excellent used condition!! YAY!!! 😀
What doll do you want to get next?
My friend Emma has a blog where she posts photostories and photoshoots of her dolls, but sadly, I am the only one who comments on her blog 🙁
Her photostories are really good and the photoshoots are beautiful! Emma is super nice and friendly and (for all you Frozen lovers) she is also obsessed with Frozen! Please head on over to her blog, “Wack-A-Doodle-Doos” and leave a comment. She would appreciate it SO much!
Here are a few pictures from her most recent posts:
