Guys….. I’m 18.Β
Yep, you read that right. The 14 year old girl who started a doll blog is 18 today and still happily blogging with her dolls.
It’s been so weird lately thinking that I’m gonna be 18 – that’s when you’re considered an adult! So this is very strange for me. I don’t feel like I should be 18, but I am, and in a way – I can feel that I am. It’s just super strange. XD
It’s also been scary thinking that I’m gonna be an adult now. I know things won’t flip like a switch and the adult thing will be a process, but it is kinda scary thinking of the responsibility and everything. It is exciting, though, and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for my future! π
I had plannedΒ to do a birthday photoshoot today, but I got really distracted this morning and need to get ready to go out with my mom, so I’ll leave you with this picture of the lovely Jocelyn – the doll who looks most like me π
Thank you all for being my friends, for encouraging me, being a huge support and motivation, for just being awesome and sticking with me for all these years! I’m so grateful to have you all as my friends! <3
Love,
~Jaclynn~
Pretty Plaid Shirt & Purple Play Shorts ~Review and Photoshoot
Hi everyone! I’m sorry I haven’t been posting a ton lately, but I’m gonna try to change that π
I was going to post Masquerade last night, but that didn’t end up working out, so I’ll probably have it up tomorrow π
Anyway, a week or 2 ago, a package from AG arrived with some surprises from my mom! Today I finally got to take pics for a review and photoshoot of 2 of the items, so let’s get on with it, shall we? π
Here is the Pretty Plaid Shirt. Right when I saw this online, I died (but then, what else is new? XD)!
The shirt is made a of a very thin material, but I don’t see it ripping or anything. It is dark blue with stripes of, I’d say sea green and pink. Everyone sees colors differently, and that’s what I see when I look at the shirt π
It has 4 working buttons which are surprisingly easy to use. I prefer to leave the top button unbuttoned at the collar.
It has a cute little pocket that you could actually put something in.
The sleeves go down to about an inch above the wrist where they cuff up. They can not be rolled down as it is sewn on the side.
On the bottom of the shirt there’s a little metal American Girl tag.
The shirt is made to be tied in a knot. I think they made it long enough for people to tie easily, but then, I do have tiny hands π I was really glad that my doll could still wear the shirt tied without it exposing the stomach. I was a little worried about that at first π
This is what the shirt looks like untied. Not very appealing, but maybe if you wanted to pair it with a skirt tucked in, you could do that π
The Purple Play Shorts are adorable and match perfectly with this outfit! As you can see, they are a bit too short, but all AG’s shorts and skirts these days are too short. Thankfully they’re just dolls π
There are only 2 belt loops in the front, which I think is a little odd… The lavender shorts have coral stitching.
An American Girl tag is on the left pocket.
If you pull down the shorts just a tad, your doll can put her thumbs in her pockets which looks super cute π
Just another shot π
I rate the Pretty Plaid Shirt 5 out of 5 stars. I don’t have a problem with it at all!
I rate the shorts 4 out of 5 stars due to the length and only 2 belt loops. That just seems really strange to me XD
So, now it’s time for a long photoshoot because Jocelyn looks adorable and I got up early to take these pics, so I had to take advantage of the shade and non overwhelming heat while I could! XD
I got so much bokeh in my photos today!! *squeal*
I haven’t taken a photoshoot in forever, guys! I didn’t realize how much I missed it! *cries* LOL! JK ;D
Do you ever suddenly find a cut on yourself and you’re like – where on earth did that come from? XD Okay, that was random…..
Everybody in their Sunday best…. (I’m trying a new thing. Putting random thoughts and whatnot into my photoshoots. How do you like it? XD)
I was really happy with how this turned out π
Which one do you like best – this one or the other one?
Oh bokeh, oh bokeh, I love you so much. You bring spots of gladness into our lives. Why then, oh bokeh, must you be so hard to get in my photos?! XD
Isn’t Jocelyn so pretty? *heart eyes*
All done!! If you read this entire post, I congratulate you! XD
I should have another review and photoshoot up soon, so stay tuned! π
Do you ever say something completely random that makes no sense? I’m asking because I was just going to end this post by asking “what do you want for waffles?” XD I think I’m tired….Β
Have a wonderful day!

Masquerade~ Part 10
See Part 8 hereΒ and Part 9 here π
“This is it.”Β I thought as I approached the farm. It looked so much more run down than I recalled. They must have gotten along terribly after everything happened…
“Hello! Anyone home?” I called out.
“Can I help you, Sir?” A young pregnant woman called from the stream near the house.
I dismounted my horse and walked over to the young woman who was now in front of the house with a pail of water in hand. “How do you do, Ma’am. I was hoping to find Liesel Bennet here.” I greeted.
“I’m afraid I don’t know any Liesel Bennets… Or even a Liesel for that matter.” The woman said.
“She used to live here with her mother and father. Do you maybe know her mother? Mrs. Amelia Bennet?” I asked, desperate for answers.
The young lady swept her hair out of her face as though in deep thought. “No, I’m sorry. My late husband and I bought this place from an elderly woman, Ms. Donalds about two years ago. Never knew anyone else owned it.”
“Ms. Donalds… Do you know where she’s staying now? Perhaps she knows where I can find the Bennets.”
“Um… I’m sorry to tell you this, but, Ms. Donalds passed away. Not long after my husband… There was a terrible epidemic…” She said solemnly.
“Oh, I’m so sorry.” I turned my head away to hide my disappointment.
“Would you like to come inside? I have some lemonade ready for my son, but there’s plenty if you’d like some.” She offered kindly.
“That’s kind of you, but I should be going. Thank you for your help.”
Β Β Before I could say another word, a small boy around 7 years old came running up.Β
“Mama! Mama! I caught myself a fish!” He yelled proudly.
“That’s wonderful, Charlie! We’ll have us a real feast tonight.” His mother praised. It was then I realized just how poor they were. Just a widowed mother with a child on the way, it must be hard to make end’s meet. If one fish caught with nothing more than a little net was a feast, I’d hate to know what their every day meal was like.
“Charlie, I want you to say hello to…?”
“Edmund Richardson. It’s nice to meet you, Charlie.” I flashed him a friendly smile.
“Go on inside now and get washed up, okay?” His mother instructed.
“Okay, Mama.”
“I’m sorry I couldn’t be more help to you. Good luck on your search.” The kindly woman said with a smile.
Before I headed off, I glanced at my fishing rod and I knew I had one last thing to do.
“Hey, Charlie! Come here a second.” I called him over just before they disappeared into the house.
“I want you to have this.” I said, holding out my fishing rod.
He looked at me, as though unsure if he should accept it or not.
“It’s okay, honey. Go on.” His mother gave her approval…
And he came over and grabbed the rod, a smile so wide on his cute little face.
“Look, Mama! My very own pole!” He exclaimed.
“It’s lovely, son. What do you say to Mr. Richardson?”
He beamed up at me and said thank you and I nodded.
“Can I go catch another fish for supper, Mama?” Little Charlie asked. “Alright, but be home before supper.”
“That was very kind of you, Mr. Richardson. I think it’s just about the greatest gift he’s ever received.” His mother thanked me with grateful tears in her eyes. Β “Before you go, I just remembered, there is a new princess in Uceda by the name of Liesel. She was close to poverty when the prince asked for her hand. Maybe she’s the one you’re looking for?”
“Thank you. I’ll be sure to look into it.” I said with a bow of my head.
As I rode away from the old farm, I couldn’t help but worry. If that was Liesel who married the prince, there was no way she was happy with him. Β I certainly hope she’s not married….

Discouraging Words~ A Photostory
Hi everyone! I got to thinking how it’s been a super long time since I’ve made a photostory, so today I set aside some time to make a short photostory for you all. I hope you like it! π
“Aren’t these guitars great, Dallas?” Eli asked with an excited smile.
“Yeah! That was awesome of mom to buy them for us!” Dallas agreed.
“Oh so this is where all that music is coming from.” Lana observed as she walked in the room.
“Yeah, mom bought Dallas and me some guitars! Aren’t they cool?” Eli asked.
“Oh, sure. They look cool, but how do they sound? Go on, play something, Eli.” Lana urged her brother.
“Well, okay.” Eli agreed and strummed a few notes on his electric guitar.
“Hm. That wasn’t so bad.” Lana said, not sounding very impressed.
“Your turn, Dallas. Play something.” Lana ordered her brother.
“Yeah, come on, Dal!” Eli urged him.
“Well, I don’t know…” Dallas said, not feeling very confident.
“Ha! I bet you don’t even know how to play!” Lana sneered.
“I do, too!” Dallas defended himself and placed his fingers on the strings and began to play.
When Eli heard him, he felt sorry he had encouraged him to play. He just knew Lana was going to pick on him, but when he looked at her, she seemed to be smiling. He wondered if perhaps she was enjoying it.
Dallas strummed the last chord and looked at Lana who had her nose up in the air.
“That was the worst thing I have ever heard in my entire life. I can’t believe mommy wasted her money on a guitar for you! You can’t even play! She should have spent that money on something that could actually be played well by somebody. Like a piano for me!” Lana said full of disgust.
“It’s not a waste! I just can’t play very well yet!” Dallas shouted angrily.
Lana leaned over and said, “Dallas, you will never play the guitar well because you don’t have the skill it takes to play it.”
When Lana had left the room, Eli tried to cheer up his brother. “Aw, don’t worry, Dal! Lana always says things like that to everybody. You’ll learn!” Eli encouraged him.
“No, Eli. I think she’s right.” Dallas mumbled as he set his guitar down. Eli frowned and decided it would be best to leave Dallas alone for a while.
After about ten minutes, Jocelyn walked in the room. “Hey, Dallas! What are you doing?” She inquired.
Jocelyn sat on the floor and gave Pepper some love. Then she said, “So I heard mommy got you and Eli some guitars. Why aren’t you playing it?”
“Because I can’t. And, well, Lana heard me play and she said I’ll never be able to play well.” Dallas explained.
“Ooh, I see. Well, have you ever played the guitar before today?” Jocelyn inquired.
“No, this was my first time.” Dallas answered.
“Well, look, you can’t expect to be the best guitar player ever after just 5 minutes of playing. And that goes for anything. If you’ve never done it before, how could you know how to do it perfectly? Just give it some time. Keep practicing and some day you’ll be so good that Lana will wish she had never said what she did.” Jocelyn said.
“I guess you’re right… Thanks, Jocelyn.” Dallas said gratefully.
Jocelyn smiled and said, “No problem.”
THE END
Arent the guitars so cute? I got them at The Dollar Tree a few weeks ago! I think they’re perfect for dolls, but I just wish they could hold them more realistically. Oh well, it still works great! π
Do any of your dolls play the guitar?

Is It Fall Yet?~ A Photoshoot
No, it’s not. But it did rain the other day (OH MY GOSH IT WAS AMAZING!!!) and so it looked cold and awesome outside, so I took a photoshoot of Jocelyn dressed for Fall weather…. Even though it was like 88 outside… π
I really like this one for some reason! π
YAAAY!!! I DID IT!!! LOL! Sorry! It’s just that, in this photoshoot I did, a picture (like the one above) didn’t get uploaded and was deleted (because I thought it got uploaded). I was so upset because it was like one of my most favorite pictures ever, so I was really happy to be able to get this picture! π
The lighting was really weird over here….
Well, that’s all, folks! I was really happy with these pictures and literally went back inside with a big smile on my face! It was nice to get someΒ good pictures after feeling uninspired after my last photoshoot π
Which picture is your favorite?

Freckles~ A Photoshoot
So, I decided to add freckles to Jocelyn!! I was going through all our markers trying to find a brown washable one, but I couldn’t find one that was labeled washable, so I tested one on Jocelyn’s leg (up near the top where it doesn’t show) and then washed it off. It came out instantly, so I got to work on putting a bunch of cute freckles on Jocelyn’s face! I’m gonna be honest with you, I was really scared and I had to redo her freckles several times before I finally got it right! It was seriously SO much fun, though and it makes me wanna add freckles to some of my other dolls! LOL! So, let’s get on with the photoshoot so you can see the new Jocelyn! π
EEE!! I’m seriously so happy!!! I think Jocelyn looks way cuter with freckles!! π
You can see better in this picture that I added a single darker freckle by the top right corner of her mouth, and down by her chin on the left. I added thoseΒ because I have freckles like that on my face π
She really looks so much like me now! Just change the hairstyle to curly, fluffy hair and you’ve got it! LOL!
Well, that’s all the pics! What do you think of Jocelyn with freckles? π
Have you ever added freckles to your doll?
Oh! And I added Jocelyn to the Meet My Dolls page, so be sure to check that out! Thank you all so much for your personality suggestions! They were all so great π

Jocelyn & Jane~ A Photoshoot
Hey everyone! This morning the weather was seriously so amazing, so I just had to take some pictures and I thought a photoshoot with two dolls would be fun π
Aren’t they so cute?! π
Oh, my goodness, she is SO CUTE!!! LOL!
LOL! I went inside for a minute cause my mom was getting a phone call and when I came back out, they just looked so tiny and adorable! π
Okay, I’m loving this picture <3
Now for some edited pics! π
And that’s it! That was a lot of pics, huh? At least it felt like it to me LOL!
Do you like photoshoots with one doll, or with multiple dolls?
~Jaclynn~
Jocelyn Marie~ A Photoshoot
Hey everyone! Before I get into the dolly part of this post, lemme just wish my oldest brother, Jacob a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! π
Alrighty, now back to the posty (I add y’s to words sometimes because it’s fun LOL!)!
Yes, I got MAG – or now I should say, TrulyMe – #59!!! When my mom peeked in my room to see what dolls were on my wishlist, she got her for me from Jill’s Steals and Deals and I was SO excited!! I’m considering adding freckles to her so she will look more like me… What do you think?
Anyways, yesterday after I finished taking pictures for the photostory, I instantly did a photoshoot of Jocelyn! π
She is SO cute!! Her hair is kinda hard for styling, but it’ll be okay. It’s not much different from “Jane’s” π Oh! And Jocelyn’sΒ middle name is Marie! π
I’m not sure what her personality is yet. It’s so hard to think of different personalities when you have 20 dolls LOL! She’s obviously an animal lover, though π
I love her chocolate eyes π
Her hair is so pretty! The color is VERY close to mine, only I have red highlights π
I FINALLY MUSTERED UP MY COURAGE AND WENT NEARΒ THE SCARY FLOWERS!!!! LOLOL!!! We’ve always had these pretty flowers in our backyard but I’ve always been so scared to get anywhere near them! I always think that there are rats or something living in there LOL! π XD
Jocelyn is a very beautiful and rather photogenic doll and I am so grateful to have her! She will be added to the “Meet My Dolls” page just as soon as I can come up with a personality for her! π
Do you think I should add freckles to Jocelyn? Do you have any suggestions for a personality?
Have a great day, everyone! π

Animal Lover~ A Photostory
Following my new mom’s directions, I headed out back to introduce myself to a couple of my many new siblings. I saw a boy and a girl playing with a little gray husky puppy. They looked friendly, but I myself have always been a shy girl and always felt a little insecure when meeting new people. I wished that my mom, Jaclynn was here to introduce me, but she had something very important to do, so I was on my own. I took a deep breath in and slowly let it out. Okay, I can do this.
I hesitantly walked over to them, but they were so distracted with the puppy that they didn’t even notice I was there. I had hoped they would notice me so they would start up a conversation, but now it was up to me. What was I to say? I guess that “hi” would work, but I felt like my voice would be so soft that they wouldn’t hear me, so instead I cleared my throat to get their attention.
They quickly looked my way, their faces very confused. The puppy however, seemed delighted to see me and started running over to me. The girl called out, “Pepper! Come here!”, but he didn’t listen. He kept right on running until he reached-
-my feet. His tiny tongue tickled so much as he licked away at my toes, I couldn’t help but giggle.
I reached down and gave his ear a little scratch.
“He really likes you!” The girl said kindly and I smiled. “So, who are you?” The boy inquired, still seeming confused.
“I’m Jocelyn. I’m your new sister…” I replied questioningly. I didn’t understand why they were so confused. I thought Jaclynn would have told them I was coming…
The boy and girl looked at each other with surprise. “I can’t believe mommy didn’t tell us!” The girl said in disbelief.
They both came closer and the girl said, “My name is Kiara and this is Dallas.”
“And that’s Pepper.” Dallas announced as he gestured to the little puppy resting by my feet.
“I’m sorry if we seemed a little rude. We were just really caught off guard when you told us you were our sister.” Kiara apologized.
“Oh, it’s okay! I understand.” I assured her.
“So how old are you?” Dallas questioned.
“Fifteen.” I replied.
“You seem to have a really nice way with animals. Do you have a pet?” Kiara inquired.
“No, I don’t, but I have always wanted a dog and a horse!” I said dreamily.
Kiara gasped. “We have to have Lissie, Saige, and Kaya show her the horses!” She exclaimed, looking at Dallas with a huge smile on her face.
“You have horses?!” I asked excitedly and probably a little too loudly. This place just suddenly got amazing!
“Yeah! We have two horses and three foals!” Kiara said, smiling broadly.
“Oh, my gosh!! FOALS?!” I squealed.
Dallas laughed. “Yep! Come on, let’s get Lissie, Saige, and Kaya to introduce you to them!” He suggested.
I eagerly followed Dallas into the house, with Kiara and Pepper not far behind.
Horses? Foals?! Even with how shy I am, my excitement over something can really help me feel so comfortable around people. And Dallas and Kiara were really nice, so I was sure that if the others were anything like them, I was going to absolutely love it here.
