American Girl February Release 2015
I was having a heart-attack last night (not literal, I was just SUPER excited)!!! My dad was asleep in the other room and I was trying SO hard not to yell and scream over everything!! LOL! 😛

Okay, so are you all ready to see this awesome release?! Good! Let’s get started! 😀
Samantha’s Flower-Picking Set $48- This is really cute, but in my opinion, it looks too much like her Meet Outfit. All the colors and all, don’t you think?
Samantha’s Special-Day Dress $32- This is SO CUTE!! I LOVE THE MINT AND PINK! 😀
Samantha’s Travel Coat & Hat $32- Oh. My. Gosh. I can not even type in all caps because I am so dead over this coat. 😀
Samantha’s Travel Bag Set $28- This is adorable!! It’s an adorable little carpet bag!!! I can’t help but think of Mary Poppins. I love carpet bags, thanks to her 😀
Samantha’s Painting Set $36- This is cute, but the easel is way too much like Saige’s 😉
Samantha’s Summertime Treats $45- I love this set!! It’s so cute!! I love the little petits fours and the napkins!! 😀
Samantha’s Outdoor Serving Set $75- This is amazing!! I’ve always loved those serving carts!! 😀 Oh, and this set and the above treats can also be bought as one set for $120 🙂
Samantha’s Gazebo Garden Set $268- OMGOSH!!!! THIS IS AWESOME!!!! IT’S HUGE!!! I really want this!! The Gazebo alone is $200. That’s not bad at all!! I’m positive that I will be buying this someday!
Julie’s Skateboarding Set $48- This is okay, I’m not too fond of the colors 🙂
Julie’s Mix-Print Maxi Dress $28- I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS!!! But wait- why is this only $28 with quite a few accessories, but Samantha’s Coat & Hat is $32? 😛
Modern Fancy Shawl Outfit $48- I love this!! It is so cute and I absolutely adore the red on Kaya! I also really like the white on her! 😀
Kit’s Chicken Keeping Set $48- AWWWWW!!! I totally LOVE this outfit!! And oh my goodness, that chicken looks so soft and sweet and cuddly! 😀
Addy’s Dress & Sewing Set $48- I LOVE the colors of this outfit!!!! And the sewing stuff is super cute, too!! 😀
Rebecca’s Seashore Set $48- I’m sorry, but I don’t really like this. It looks way too modern to me, and those boots literally look like boots that girls wear today. I will say that the chair is cute, though 🙂

Shimmer & Lace Party Dress $30- This is SO CUTE!! I love the color and how lacy it is! 😀
Pretty Plie Ballet Outfit $34- This is cute, but I think it’s funny that they made two ballet outfits right after Isabelle is retired 😛
Pretty Pink Tutu Set $28- Again, it’s cute, but I won’t be buying either of them 🙂 You can also buy both of them in a set together for $62 😉
Boho Beachy Swimsuit $28- YAY! A one piece at last! 😛 I like the colors and design of this, but I don’t really like the ribbons 🙂
Beachy Hair Beads $15- These are okay. They look kinda cheapy and plastic-y in the hair to me 😛
Sunshine Garden Outfit $30- This is SOOO CUTE!! 😀
Sparkly Jazz Outfit $34- I have nothing positive to say about this and I don’t want to offend anyone, so let’s just move on 🙂
Soccer Team Outfit $38- This is kinda cute! I mainly want the soccer ball, though LOL! Clara looks adorable in it, too! 🙂
Sparkle Spa Robe $24- I like this, but I’d rather it be a longer robe 🙂 I love how soft and plushy it looks though! 😀
Sunshine Gardening Bench Set $68- This is adorable!! It made me realize that I don’t have a doll that likes gardening yet! Hmm…. I wonder what doll I want could fit that role…. 😛

Pastel Carousel Outfit $26- This is really cute! I love the colors and the style of the shirt! 🙂
Basics Sweet Dots Top $14- This is so sweet! 🙂
Basics Elephant Leggings $10- These are also really cute! I love the ruffle! I wonder why they’re selling them separately, though?

Alright, so that was the entire release (except for the girl’s sized clothes 😉 )!! I am VERY happy with this release!! And A LOT of new items have gone on my wishlist!! I think my favorite item in this release is Samantha’s Gazebo. I can not get over how amazing that is! 😀

Oh I loved reading your thoughts! I was hoping you’d do a post! 😀 Here is some of what I think:
I really like Samantha’s Flower Picking Set, and yes, it does look to much like her meet outfit, but personally I think her meet outfit should be something else, anyway. I don’t really like it very much.
I think it’s fun that they brought back a painting set for Samantha, and yes, maybe the easel does look like Saige’s, but how different can easels look? Plus, Saige is retired now.
I think Julie’s new dress is pretty fun, and I see lots of people buying it, because it is so unique and fun!
Kaya’s new outfit is pretty good, I think, and yeah, red goes good on her. I like this outfit a lot better than her pink one.
I guess the thing I was shocked about the most was the one piece bathing suit! I was very pleasantly surprised. 🙂 I think that it has really nice colors and it just a great bathing suit!
I think the Bitty Twin outfits are cute, but it would be better if the boy had a tennis outfit instead of golf. Then they could play tennis together!

I know, I LOVE Maxi dresses, so I was super excited to see they made one for Julie! I like Kaya’s new outfit better than the pink one, too 🙂

Wow, they did come out with some really beautiful new things! I love Sam’s new things… Lol, the carpet bag made me think of Mary Poppins too! 😀

Love this release! It’s much better than the last one, in my opinion. I think AG might retire Josefina, because they didn’t give her anything new in the Beforever update and nothing in this release, either.

Ugh, I know, it’s so sad! Josefina is such a beautiful doll, too. I hate how AG just ignores some dolls sometimes 🙁

Yes, I think that AG might retire either Josefina or Caroline. I think that Josefina is more likely to be retired because she was given nothing except a new meet outfit, books and a new girl’s outfit for the Beforever release, and almost all the other dolls got tons of new items. Caroline didn’t get anything with this release, and she doesn’t have very much in her collection, but she was given a few new items for the Beforever release- more than Josefina was. You would think AG would have retired a doll instead of neglecting her and not giving her any attention. I love Josefina, but if she retires, I’m not too worried- I have her. I don’t really have any dolls on my wishlist right now, but if Caroline is going to be retired…:0
I love the Lacey Dress so much, also Samantha’s pink and mint dress. I’m glad that they came out with something similar to Saige’s easel, because now people can get a second chance of buying it if they missed it in 2013. And the painting is gorgeous!

My favorites from the new release are Kaya’s Fancy Shawl Dress and the Gardening Bench. I think it would be perfect for Lanie.
Rebecca’s swimming costume is actually quite accurate historically with the exception of the colors and the little bill on the cap (the cap can be overlooked). If it were black, brown, or navy and white it would be more accurate. Oh, the other problem with the cap is that is should be big enough to cover all of her hair not just the top. Running around with wet hair was not proper in 1914. 🙂

Lots of cute stuff, and not much that I’m not really wild about either. I am annoyed that the bathing suit is that expensive though, there isn’t that much to it nor are they all that expensive to make. I think it’s really cute, but can’t see myself spending that much on it, hopefully I can pick it up someday at 50% off.
Yeah, that is a bit overpriced… I think I would spend $15-$20 on it, but definitely not almost $30 😕

now. rebecca’s bathing outfit. i really don’t like it. search “early 1900 bathing suit” on google and all images you will see, do not look like this at all. i get that AG is girly and trying make it cute, but they did a reallllyy bad job on this one.the boots, apparently, were a thing, just not in, um, in purple. em hem.
the MAGs stuff is cute! i like the party dress, gardening clothes and bench, and bath robe. 🙂 although, the jazz outfit isn’t my favorite. it is kind of weird, haha!

Aaaaaaahhhh! I agree with you about most things in this release, except that I’m not a big fan of Julie’s new dress. I think it’s the headband that is making me not like it. I love Samantha’s green dress!!!! If I had Samantha, I would definitely buy it. 😀
Samantha seems to get a lot of stuff. I wish they would give other dolls more stuff, like Josefina!

I used to love the mysteries, and I think they’re better than the central series, at least to me, because they’re older and I relate a lot more, but I’ve started being able to guess how it will end, and that kinda ruins the mystery. I just read 15 of the Penny Parker mystery books (by the author of Nancy Drew, but it is under her real name) and I accurately guessed who it was halfway through for every single one. think I will still read the books, but they just aren’t that fun anymore. Actually, Claire is much younger than me, and even she can guess who it is in some of the mysteries. So, I’m not as excited for the mysteries, though I think I’ll definitly read them. The author of the Samantha books does a better job of not dropping too many hints, IMO, so I’ll definitly read that one, but I just don’t know about the other two. Caroline seems like a bratty character in my opinion, so…….
Oh, I just reread that and the ending seemed like I was bragging a bit. So I’m sorry about that, I didn’t mean for it to come across that way. 🙂 I’m just naturally more intuitive about people, so it might be easier for me to guess these kinds of things than people who aren’t, which is fine also.

I know!!!!!! Oooh, yeah, and Julie’s coat, and the blazer that comes with the MYAG outfit (Stripes something) and Grace’s coat, and Samantha’s, and the leather jackets Echo (The Echo from from Echo with love ) makes in her etsy shop, and fifty million other awesome jackets and blazers. For instance, that photography outfit blazer they made a few years back.
My friend always jokes about me loving dolly blazers, or blazers in general, because I’m not super into how I look or makeup or anything. She always say “Kathleen doesn’t care about fashion, unless BLAZERS!”

Samantha’s Flower Picking set is a lot like her meet outfit, but I think it’s really cute, too- I don’t have her meet outfit. I like the coat too- makes me think of Marie-Grace. (; Samantha’s new mint and pink dress- I love it too! Marie-Grace again! We have chickens, so the new chicken and outfit really appeals to me. 🙂 The gardening set, garden outfit, and lace dress are so cute! I’m also really excited about Kaya’s new outfit, but she needs another traditional dress like her Deerskin Outfit. Rebecca’s new outfit, the jazz outfit, and Julie’s skateboarding set are probably my least favorites. Samantha’s painting set is adorable but seems small compared to Saige’s set. :/ The gazebo and the serving set are again, adorable, but they don’t include much for the price. But overall, I’m really excited about these new releases!
