Annika and Elijah Talk Hobbit

image

Annika- “Hi everyone! It’s me, Annika, with my brother Eli.”
Elijah- “Hey, guys! Do you know what movie came out yesterday?”
Annika- “The second Hobbit movie, The Desolation of Smaug! You may or may not know, but we LOVE Β The Lord of The Rings movies as well as The Hobbit movies. They are just SO good!”

image

Annika- “Me and Eli are the only kids who have seen the movies because mommy feels that it is just too scary for the others.”

image

Elijah- “Yeah, but they’re really good! I like all of the action and sword fighting and one of the elves, Legolas uses a bow and arrow! He’s definitely my favorite character, but I also like Aragorn, Gandalf, Frodo, Gimli, Sam, Merry and Pippin-”
Annika- “Eli, why don’t you just say that it’s too hard to pick a favorite before you list everyone that’s in the movie?”
Elijah- “Oh, fine. So, yeah, I like the movies, but I’m mad that the girl elf, Tauriel is made up. She’s not even Β in the book!! So practically every scene she’s in is fake and made up and not in the book!!”
Annika- “Yeah, that’s a little disappointing, but I do like Tauriel. She’s really cool and nice! I think her character is good. And Eli, Legolas wasn’t in The Hobbit books either.”
Elijah- “Oh-Well-uh-yeah, but he’s cool and actually exists!”
Annika- “Oh, Eli.” *giggles*

image

Annika- “These are called POP!s. The one on the left is Legolas who mommy got in her stocking last Christmas, and the other is Bilbo who belongs to our gramma (Jaclynn’s mom).

image

Elijah- “These ones are Thorin Oakenshield King Under The Mountain, and Gandalf The Grey Pilgrim and most awesome Wizard EVER!”
Annika- “Eli, you can just say their names.”

image

Annika- “And of course there’s the movie! Mommy bought it yesterday and we watched it last night!”

image

Annika- “I hope you enjoyed our little review-ish thing-y! And please let us know if you’ve seen The Hobbit or would like to! We’d love to know!”

Both- “Bye for now!”

  • That is so cool! Well, actually I have never read the Hobbit, but my dad says he read it when he was a boy and it was really good. I have to wait a few more years till I can read it, though. :/ Anyway..that’s awesome! πŸ˜€

  • Cute! I haven’t seen the Hobbit, but I have read the book, which I kind of liked. I don’t really care about seeing the movie, because I know it is pretty violent, and I don’t like those kind of movies. I am not much of a movie person, anyway.
    ~Christian Homeschooler
P.S. Eli is so cute! But don’t tell him I said that. πŸ˜€

    • Yeah, it is violent, but SO exciting and makes your heart race! I can’t even crochet and watch those movies at the same time because they are just too amazing. And if I do crochet with it, I only get a few stitches done πŸ˜›
      ~Jaclynn~
      P.S. LOL! He is! Okay, I won’t! πŸ˜‰

      • Okay, I believe it! LOL! πŸ˜€
By the way, do you have any hints on how to make my photos better quality? Because when I take them, they are just fine. But when I post them on my blog, they seem a bit fuzzy. However, when I send photos to From a Friend Friday, they look pretty good. So it seems kinda weird. Any suggestions?

        • Oh, I don’t really know… Do you edit your pictures? I take my pictures with my iPod Touch and I have to edit them sometimes to get them looking a little better. Mine still look blurry sometimes, though. It also really depends on your lighting. I find that outside lighting is the best for me.
That is weird that they don’t look fuzzy when you send them in for FAFF…
I just went to your blog right now and looked at a picture. It’s not fuzzy at all! Maybe it’s just your computer??
Sorry I couldn’t be of more help :(
          ~Jaclynn~

          • I edit them before I upload them, because I want to make them smaller in size, because I don’t have unlimited space. However, I do this for sending them in to From a Friend Friday too, so there is no difference.
Maybe it just is my computer. Or maybe I just think they are and they’re not. I don’t know. πŸ˜› As long as you don’t think they are, then I guess its okay. I mean, they don’t look that bad. Thanks for trying to help! :)

          • You take pics with your iPod Touch??? Wow!

Could you please take a look at my pinterest? I don’t wan’t to sound like I’m begging, I guess I just wanna get my ideas out there!

          • Yep, I do! :)

I don’t really go on Pinterest unless I’m browsing with my mom. I’m sorry :(
            ~Jaclynn~

  • I loved the book, but I don’t really have an interest in the movie, I like fantasy, but not violent fantasy πŸ˜›
    ~Carli

  • I’ve seen the second (and first, lol) hobbit movie. Eli is so silly! I love them together though,Eli and Annika.

  • i hV never read or watched the hobbit my mom says i should read it . icant beleive you arent posting more adorable jess pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Okay, I think you remember back a few months ago, I saw a Jess doll in really good condition for like $70 dollars? Well I was hunting ebay today, and I saw another Jess doll in GUC with her meet outfit and an extra one. All in all, it would be $132 . I’ve always wanted her, but other dolls just kinda got in the way, or I haven’t had enough money, but now I do, it would leave me with about $4, but I have a long time before my birthday, and I have a few jobs, and I’d be fine with just getting stuff for my dolls, so I wouldn’t really mind spending the money, I’ve just got a few things lately I’m not sure if my mom would want me to jump into this, but I do really want her.
Any advice would be appreciated :)
    ~Carli

    • I feel so bad that I didn’t reply in time! My computer (that I use for going on my blog, etc.) is broken right now and I’ve been having to use my dad’s computer, but he’s been using it the past few days and I haven’t had a chance to get on the computer :(
I saw on your blog that you bought her! Congratulations!!! I’m sure you are SUPER DUPER excited!! πŸ˜€
      ~Jaclynn~

  • I can’t wait to watch the second Hobbit! the first one was so good!
Kit, Saige, and Mckenna loves the LOTR and Hobbit books, but the rest of the kids think they are a tad too scary.

  • The POPS are too cute!

  • WOHOO THE HOBBIT!!!!!!!!!! So cute how your dolls also love it, what awesome dolls :) I agree with Elijah (and Annika) – it’s a shame about Tauriel. Did you know that Aragorn turned down the job because he wasn’t in the book??? sorry, I’m a huge fan… yes, I’ve seen it – it’s super good!!!! :):):)

    • YAY! You like Hobbit! πŸ˜€
      Yeah, they are awesome! :)
I know! I think that was SO awesome that he did that! I would’ve been mad if he was in it because he doesn’t fit in anywhere in the story. Well done, Aragorn! LOL! πŸ˜€
      ~Jaclynn~

  • I adore The Hobbit, especially the second one. My fave character is Tauriel; she is so awesome, and she cares about others. I also like Kili, and Bard. The second one is better, because of these characters (in my opinion). I love the romance! And I can’t wait till the next one comes out in December! (And I think Albus Dumbledore is the most awesome wizard ever. But Gandalf is cool, too.) Those POP!s are really cute!

    -Morgan

  • Christian Homeschooler: Your pics don’t look too dark, but if you want better lighting, try taking your dolls outside, or underneath a south facing window, you’ll get alot of light that way :)
    ~Carli

  • I love the Hobbit! Books and all!
The desolation of Smaug rocked! πŸ˜€

  • (spelling error! I just thought I’d let you know that you made a typo in spelling JUST when Annika said, “mommy feels they are JUT too scary for the others.” Just though I’d let you know πŸ˜‰

  • JACLYNN. you have to do a new photo story!!!!! just kidding. maybe you could do the one you- i mean anika takes about in ” anika tells whats going on”?

    • I have pictures taken for a photostory, but haven’t had the time to post it. I might have time today, but I’m not sure. Hopefully I can do it soon! :)
      ~Jaclynn~

  • Oh, yeah, the post was cute!

When are you doing that photoseries you put up a post about? You know, this one?
    http://littlehouseofamericangirl.com/?p=2228

    • Thanks!
I have another photostory series coming up before that one (that I’m DYING to do πŸ˜€ ), but it probably won’t be posted until the end of May or sometime in June. I have to make costumes for it and every chance I have to crochet I have to work on my orders and prepare for my craft fair. So sorry for the long wait :(
      ~Jaclynn~

  • I know you are probably busy with the craft fair, so just wanna ask where is the craft fair?

  • Are you going to post again anytime soon?

  • I read the Hobbit for school earlier this year, and I didn’t want to be over!
Bilbo was sooo cute, he was my favorite character. πŸ˜‰
    *Sunny

    • Oh, I know what you mean! It’s worse with the movies LOLOL! πŸ˜€
      Yeah, Bilbo is awesome! :)
      ~Jaclynn~

  • I didn’t think I would like the hobbit, but I read it at school and watched the movies and I absolutely LOVED IT!!!! I’m watching the Fellowship of the Rings now and I really like it! The 1st and 3rd Hobbit movies were the best in my opinion. I like Tauriel and I wished they would have given her more screen time, and she definitely wasn’t in the book.

You should totally do a Hobbit or LOTR photostory with your dolls based on one of the books or movies! I would die (no, not in that way (; )

    • YAY! I’m so glad you’re enjoying both The Hobbit and LOTR! πŸ˜€
Oooh, I believe that’s my second request for a LOTR photostory! I’ll definitely try to get around to doing that someday :)
      ~Jaclynn~
