Annika & Saige: An American Girl Adventure Continued
Here it is! Part 2 of Annika’s and Saige’s Adventure!
So last we left off was that Annika & Saige heard something coming towards them! What could it be??
It’s a little baby Raccoon!
Annika- “AAAAAAAAH!!! A RACCOON!!
Saige- “Annika it’s ok! It’s just a baby! And lower your voice you could startle him.”
Annika whispered- “Are you sure it’s ok?”
Saige- “Yes, he’s probably just hungry that’s all.”
Saige- “Come on boy! You want some bread?”
Saige- “Go on- take it.”
The little raccoon settled down and ate.
Saige- “You see, Annika? It’s perfectly safe!”
Annika peeked around Saige’s shoulder to look at the raccoon.
Annika- “Weeelll… I guess so.”
Saige- “What are you doing?”
Annika- “I have a book about animals- there may be something about raccoons in here.”
Annika scanned through the book until she came across a page about raccoons.
Annika- “It says that at this young age it should have a mother nearby.”
Saige- “We have to go look for her! We have to re-unite her with her baby.”
Annika stood up and said- “Are you crazy? It’s cold, it’s dark, we’re not familiar with this place, and you wanna go search for aΒ mommy raccoon?”
Saige- “Yep! We need to help them. What if there’s something wrong? What if something happened to his mom and he’s all alone?”
Annika- “Alright. I’ll come, too.”
Saige- “Thanks, Annika!”
Saige- “Wait- what’ll we do with him? Should we take him with us?”
Annika- “No, he’ll stay here. Give him the rest of our bread.”
Saige- “What? We’ll starve out here!”
Annika- “It’s ok! We’ll go home tomorrow or something. Now give him the food!”
Saige- “There you go boy! Now stay here until we get back!”
The girls walked on until Annika saw something…
Annika- “Look! Do you see that? Maybe it’s the mom raccoon!”
Saige- “Oh, no! She’s hurt her leg!”
Annika- “You stay with her! I’m gonna go rinse off my bandage in the stream over there!”
Saige- “Why?”
Annika- “So we can use it to bandage her up.”
Annika came back and she bandaged the raccoons leg while Saige calmed her.
Annika- “There- all better.”
Saige- “Come on let’s take her back to camp!”
Annika- “Hey, little one! We have a surprise for you!”
The mother and son ran to each other!
The sight was so touching to the girls and they realized that they were ready to go home and be with their families.
The End
Have you ever helped an animal before?
~Jaclynn~
Note: I don’t really know anything about raccoons, so if you notice that I’ve made a mistake- sorry!
Cute!
Thank you! π
~Jaclynn~
Oops I forgot to answer the question!! : )
No and yesish! I chased of our young cat from our older one who was being clawed at and I got him some food and water (He ran away later though : (. )
I loved how you used raccoons and but… raccons are not very nice to humans and are vicious animals ( we like in the country and get a lot of them) ALTHOUGH!!!!!!! It is your imagination and I would of done that to! Did not mean to hurt your feelings! Just giving you info… and please take into account that I play stuff with raccoons to!
They are cute though!
Tell your girls good job!! Heehee
-Grace AG Lover
Aw, that’s sad π
Thanks! Well, I’m sure some of them can be ok- especially babies- and maybe since the girls helped the mommy she was nice to them- LOL! π
Oh, don’t worry! That doesn’t bother me π
Thanks!
Hehe! I will π
~Jaclynn~
Thanks! And babies are mostly all nice LOL!
Cute story!
-Grace AG Lover
You’re welcome! Hehe π
Thanks π
~Jaclynn~
I have no idea what I said thanks for LOL!
Aw! That was a really good ending! π
Well once we found some kittens in the park by our house, and we took them inside and called the humaine socioty, then we gave them some food and let them spend the night, then the next day we took the to the humaine socioty, and hoped someone would adopt them π
Hehe! I don’t know if you did, I don’t know anyting about raccoons either, except one thing: they’re really mean, we heard two raccoons fighting once, and it sounded horrible!
~Carli
Hehe- Thank you π
Aw, how sweet!
LOL! Well, that’s good! π
Oh, that’s awful! We hear cats fighting a lot by our house- it’s woken me up a couple of times, too! It sounds so evil π
~Jaclynn~
You’re welcome! π
It was sweet, and we almost fostered them, since the lady at the humaine socioty said they were tooyoung to adopt, but mom said no, because we’d get too attached to them, and we’d end up keeping them, but I wouldn’t mind having 4 cats, but dad would…
I know, it was awful, and my dad got right next to the tree they were fighting in! My mom and aunt were freaking out, my uncle was relaxing and dad was curious! Hehe! π
~Carli
Aw, that probably would’ve been fun!
Oh, yeah- allergies?
We’ve rescued (not me cause I was too little) a couple of kittens from falling in our pool. I think one might’ve fallen in, but we got it out- I’m not sure, though…
LOLOLOL! That kinda sounds like a scene from a movie! Hehe! π
~Jaclynn~
Yeah it would’ve been alot of fun!
No, he’s just not a cat fan, I don’t know why, but he’s not!
Aw, poor things! I know a little girl who has strangled a chicken, drowned a kitten, and maybe more π
LOL! It kinda does!
~Carli
Oh, I see. I’m honestly not fond of them either- I only like them as kittens- hehe! π
Oh, my gosh! That is so sad and cruel! π
~Jaclynn~
Hehe! I thought it was an animal. π
I only really help our tadpoles live-toads lay eggs in our pool cover every year, so we skim the tadpoles out of the cover. π
I don’t know really anything about racoons either, except for the fact that I know I would never want to be around and I would never give my food to it! π Also, I really but I don’t think it is so safe to be by racoons. π
Hehe! Yep, you were right! π
Oh, that’s kinda yucky, but sweet that you save the tadpole π
So do you hear the toads croak by your house, then? That would drive me crazy! LOL! π
Hehe! Yeah, I wouldn’t either, but this is just a story so anything can happen- LOL! π π
~Jaclynn~
π
Yes, we do. But it really isn’t that bad. They only chirp a lot when it has just rained. π
Yep, anything can happen! π
Oh, well, it would still drive me crazy! LOL! π
Like just hearing crickets (which isn’t often) drives me crazy! It’s so annoying! π
Yes, it can π
~Jaclynn~
That was adorable! I play with my dolls all the time like that π
Thank you, Madison!
That’s great! π
~Jaclynn~
Jaclynn!!! I bought Doll School!!! π
REALLY?!? That’s awesome! Where/who did you buy it from?
I know you’ll love it! π
~Jaclynn~
Yes, it is sooo great! I bought it from Walmart online! π It is cheaper at Walmart then AG’s site. π I had a gift card for Walmart, so I used that. π You should buy AG kits at Walmart of you are thinking of buying any of them. π
I think I will!! π
~Christian Homeschooler
Oh, really? I had no idea that Walmart sold that! Is it an online only thing? Because I’ve never seen them in stores. That’s really cool, though! π
Yeah, next time I want to buy one (and have the money) I probably will π
~Jaclynn~
Well, I don’t know if they are in stores or not. Probably not in our store. π When you order something online from Walmart, you can get it shipped free to your closest store. And then all you have to do is pick your purchase up!! So that is really great. π
yes, it is! I think they sell all the kits online. π And they also sell regular AG books, I believe. π
π Yes, that’s the way to go. π Most of the books are around $12 & $13. :)Which one do you want the most right now? I would really like Doll Boutique or Doll Scrapbook. π
~Christian Homeschooler
Yeah, I don’t think they’re in ours.. π
Oh, I know! We’ve done that a few times when we order big furniture pieces or something like that π
Oh, wow! I’ll have to search for some AG books π
I REALLY want Doll Boutique! I’ve wanted it ever since it came out! π
~Jaclynn~
Oh, btw, did you see the sweepstakes on AG’s site for a $500 gift card!? It is so cool! I entered my mom’s name in the sweepstakes because you have to be 18 years old to enter. π Did you get your mom to enter for you? I’d LOVE to win. π
Oh, yeah! I think I saw a banner for that.
Hehe! π π
No, we usually don’t enter those sort of things. I would like to, though! Imagine having $500 to spend on anything AG!! That would be Heaven on earth! LOL! π
~Jaclynn~
So you aren’t going to enter?! Why don’t you enter things like that? I mean, there is a chance for you to win $500…
I don’t think so…
Hehe! I don’t know- I guess it’s because there’s 1 chance out of a million that we could win, so we just don’t enter- LOL! π
~Jaclynn~
π
Yeah, it is really great. I mean, I don’t know how much shipping is, but it’s something. π
Yeah, you’ll have too. π Doll Tees isn’t available right now as far as I know, but most of them are. π I really would like to have Doll Tees, though.
π Yeah, me too. But I would like Elizabeth before Doll Boutique, because she’d run it. π
~Christian Homeschooler
Yeah, shipping can cost a lot! π
Oh, well I don’t mind about that one. Really? I just don’t think that’s a very good kit- it hardly comes with any shirts- hehe! π
You want Elizabeth? I didn’t know that! Or maybe I did when you emailed me your wants list- hehe! π
If I had it I think Felicity would be the owner and Marie-Grace and Caroline would probably be the employees π
~Jaclynn~
Yup. π
Well, I guess. But the fact is that it comes with t-shirts. I LIKE that. π
Yes, I do!! A LOT! π hehe! Maybe you did. π
I imagine Marie-Grace would like that. π Also, I think Cecile and JLY 55(Annika) would be good Boutique owners if I had them. π
~Christian Homeschooler
Hehe! Yeah, at least it comes with some, right? LOL! π
Oh, wow! Hehe! Yeah, probably. π
My mom joined this American Girl Garage sale group on Facebook and guess what? They have Elizabeth for sale for only $80!! They also have Nicki and Felicity. I also saw Julie, Ivy, and Kit for cheap, too! I wish I had money right now! π
I think so, too π
Oh, yes- Cecile would be great! Hehe- I think my Annika would rather shop π
~Jaclynn~
P.S. I asked my mom if it was ok and we entered to win the $500 gift card- Hehe! π
Yeah!! π
Oh, that’s cool. I really want Ivy too. I am not so fond of Nicki. π Maybe your mom can buy them. π
Maybe she would. π
~Christian Homeschooler
PS. hehe! There’s always a chance for you to win…
How great that wold be!!!!
Really? I really want Nicki and I’m not so fond of Ivy! Hehe! π
No, we can’t afford that right now. It’s definitely a good a place to look for Christmas presents, though! LOL! π π
~Jaclynn~
P.S. It would be amazing! π
Hehe! Yeah, everythings cute when it’s a baby, then they grow up and get sometimes uglier!
I know, but she was 3 or 4 when she drowned the kitten, since she was “trying to teach it to swim” but that didn’t work as planned π
~Carli
I know, right? LOL! π
Aw, that’s so sad π
~Jaclynn~
LOL! π
I know π
~Carli
Haha! we are so different, but very alike. π I formed my opinion of Nicki mostly from Doll Diaries-I see her in pictures and I am like, she is not that great(no offense or anything.) Part of that is probably because she has freckles-not my thing. I really like them on Saige, but the freckles make Saige look cute. I don’t think Nicki looks very cute at all.
LOL! π
~Christian Homesschooler
PS. SO amazing!!! π
Hehe- That’s true!
Really? I don’t think I’ve seen many pics of her on DD, but I think she’s adorable! LOL! π π
Oh, you don’t like freckles? I LOVE dolls with freckles! π
~Jaclynn~
Yup! π
Well, it isn’t that often, but just sometimes. π
π
Well, sometimes, but not as a rule. I probably like non-freckle dolls better. π
~Christian Homeschooler
PS. I am going to get my Doll School book on Wednesday!!! π
Oh, ok!
Hehe! I like both kinds π
~Jaclynn~
P.S. YAY! That’s awesome! π
One time we found in our front yard a baby squirrel that fell out of his nest. We thought it was dead and my Dad went over to pick it up and get rid of it, and as my dad reached down it grabbed my dads finger in its tiny paw. My dad convinced my mom that we should take care of it. We had to bottle feed it milk every hour (hard for my mom to homeschool getting up every. Single. Hour!) and when we did that he would hold the bottle in his paws! He was ADORABLE. And really teeny, probably the size of your palm. Yes, we held him in the palms of our hands. π We did some research on it (this was in the fall) and people said you’re supposed to let them go in the spring. My mom was like, no way, no how, nuh uh! Lol Oh and my mom didn’t want a dog at the time, we didn’t have one and she said, “I would rather have a dog than a squirrel!” So guess what? We took the squirrel to a nature place where they would release him after a little nurturing, and one day the next month my dad brought an adorable puppy home, we named her Casey. π
I love telling that story. Sorry it’s hard to write it so it might not be proper grammar all the way but I hope you could understand it!
Hehe! π
