Doll Rescues
Meet Belinda :)
Yesterday, I went to the thrift store with my mom and sister. There were SO many dolls, it was amazing!! Although we had 6 dolls in our hands, I had to choose one to buy. Let me show you who I got – I’m so in love with her! π
Can you guess what doll she is? π
If you guessed Karito Kids Leza, then you are correct! We got her for $6- a great price! She had so many marks on her and her hair was a complete mess! The ends of her hair are still not in the best condition, but with the way we styled it, you can hardly tell! π
She didn’t come wearing any clothes, so I made this dress for her last night, since dresses go by more quickly and she just really needed some clothes on π
Look how nicely her legs can cross!! I love that!! She has a little trouble standing, though…
I named her Belinda (her nickname is Lindy) and she is 16 years old. The reason I made her so old is because she’s really tall- 22 inches!
Her head can be posed in so many different ways! Looking way up, way down, straight, side to side, or tilted! I love dolls with more movable heads π
At first I kept thinking she was cute, but now she has totally grown on me! She’s SO PRETTY!!
Her hair and eye color are so pretty!
In case you’re wondering, to get off all of the marks that were on her vinyl, I used Magic Eraser. There are still a few marks that won’t come off, though. I’ll probably try something else π And as for her hair, I washed it with shampoo and conditioner, combed it out and set her down to dry. Within a few hours, her hair was dry! My mom also cut her hair for me and styled it with her hair straightener. I wish her hair could’ve been longer, but apparently her previous owner gave her a really uneven hair cut π
Her pretty hair π
I LOVE this picture!! π
Oh, my goodness, it was so funny! Right when I took this picture and right when the sun came out, I felt a drop of water on my hand – it started raining!! Β There was a rainbow, too! I love rainbows π
And here is a height comparison of Belinda and Kaya. As you can see, Lindy is much taller! π
They’re so sweet!! π
Have you ever heard of Karito Kids Dolls?Β

Kiara Belle
I wonder who this pretty girl could be… Is it Cecile? π π
Everyone, I would like you to meet Kiara! She joined my family on Tuesday, October 28th, 2014. Me and my mom stumbled across her on this site called Varage Sale (yes, it’s supposed to be a “v” LOL) for $70, but we ended up paying $50. Kiara was such an exciting rescue and I absolutely adore her! She was in excellent condition with only a couple of marks on her shoulder. Kiara’s middle name is Belle and she is 12 years old. You will find out more about her once she is added to the “Meet My Dolls” page π
I love this photo! π
The lighting in this spot was so interesting! It looks like it’s late in the evening, doesn’t it?
Her shadow is so cute!! I also really love this photo! π
She’s so pretty!
This is another one of my faves π
I hope you all enjoyed the photoshoot! Be sure to check out the “Meet My Dolls” page often! Kiara will be added very soon and I have also been slowly adding new pictures π
Have a nice day! π

Charming Caroline~ A Photoshoot
So, I have a confession to make. I have always had a lot of trouble with styling Caroline’s curls- ever since I got her, and apparently I was using way too much water in her hair (yes, dumb me. I just had in my head “water helps” so I used a ton) and it made her hair smell really bad and the ends got all dried out. And before I knew it- she didn’t have anymore beautiful long curls. Just long wavy-ish hair. This has been bothering me for a long time and I was thinking about sending her to the Doll Hospital, but then I had the idea of trying to wash her hair, so the smell would go away. And so we did that recently and it worked wonders! And now, I have a fresh start with her and I can give her two different hair styles. One being natural, which is long curls, and the other is long wavy hair. Each way looks beautiful!
Now, in celebration of my “new” Caroline- let’s get on with the photoshoot! π
I love the shadowing of this picture π
I LOVE how the color of her eyes go so well with the pool! π
Aren’t her curls so pretty?!
Is it just me or does she look super country-ish right here? π
Now onto the edited pictures! π
I think this effect is so cool!
And this one π
Okay, this is seriously probably my favorite picture of Caroline that I have ever taken!! π
So pretty π
Do you have or want Caroline?

Tell Us Tuesday~ June 17th, 2014
Hello everyone and Happy Tuesday!! First I have to say that I won’t be posting the Grand Finale of Fire Cove today because I have to do some errands with my mom, but I will hopefully have it up tomorrow! π
Now, shall we get started? π
“Here is Kit,modeling a headband I made for my etsy shop!” Submitted by Grace AG Lover
The last few photos are from C-
“My recent thrift shop finds! There is a store near my house that is known for having shelves full of dolls! If anyone could help me identify them, that would be great!”
“This is one of my finds! I paid $2 for her! I think she is an Ariel Animator’s Collection doll.”
“I also found this Madame Alexander doll for only $4. She needs a lot of help. Her head is super wobbly and her limbs are too. The number on her tag reads 32009 004403. If anyone knows what doll she is or if it is possible to tighten her limbs and head let me know!”
Thanks for sending in your photos, girls! π
If youβd like to participate in next weekβs Tell Us Tuesday, hereβs how it works:

My First Doll Rescue~ Part 1
So, today me and my mom were out doing errands and all of a sudden she said, “I have a feeling to go to the Thrift Store.” and I said, “Oh, my gosh, can we go?!” And we stopped off at the Thrift Store!!
We looked through all of the bins and I found a few dolls (not AG). One was an adorable Precious Moments Doll, but I decided not to get her because she would end up just sitting on a shelf and would never get attention. And then I found a Disney Animator’s Collection Rapunzel Toddler Doll! I kinda wanted to get her, but she wasn’t really calling to me. Then I found an 18″ Madame Alexander Doll. She was only $4.99 and I really wanted to rescue her. So when I was checking out the total ended up being $2.70!!! It turns out that all yellow tags were 50% OFF!!
I feel so bad for this doll. She’s definitely “A bit of a fixer-upper” ( π )!
She has big round marks on each of her cheeks. It looks like highlighter to me.
Her hair isn’t in the best condition, but it’s not too bad.
The shirt she’s wearing is from American Girl! Anyone know what outfit this is from?
On a couple of her finger nails there’s what also seems to be pink highlighter.
I took a picture of her Style#. Do any of you know which doll this is?
I’m really excited to have my first doll rescue and to fix her up! I hope I can get her looking nice and pretty again. Well’p, it’s time for me to get to work! π
Have you ever rescued a doll?
