Rest In Peace…

Hey everyone! I know I’ve been inactive on my blogs for a while, but I have a couple of reason; 1- I was super busy preparing for a craft fair which we had to miss because, going into reason 2- my mom and I needed to go be with my Gramma. Her husband, my step grandpa (Papa Chuck) was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in March and given 3 months left to live. We were all planning to go over on Mother’s Day weekend and see him, but my gramma called and said she didn’t think he would make it until then. So, since the rest of my family couldn’t make it, my mom and I came to be with my gramma.

We arrived on Saturday and went to visit Papa Chuck who was in a hospice home. He didn’t look very good and his breathing wasn’t right. I knew that it could be any moment. I was scared it would even happen when we were there. But we left for a while to get dinner and go shopping and we had a great time. We were out pretty late, but we went back to see Papa Chuck and, well…. He was gone.

It was a long hard night, but I’m glad I got to see him one last time. I didn’t know him very well, but I feel like I did when I hear all the stories. I grieve for my gramma and I’m very heartbroken about my grandpa, but I know where he is. He’s in Heaven and there he has no more suffering, no pain, no sadness, he can hear now, and he is praising God and walking on streets of gold. Who could ask for a better birthday present than to be experiencing that and being in the Lord’s presence? (It was his 69th birthday on Saturday, when he passed away.) We all find peace and relief in knowing that.

He was a good man who touched the lives of many people. He will always be remembered.

(Grapevines in my grandparent’s backyard, planted by my grandpa.)

I love you, Papa Chuck. I look forward to seeing you again someday.

Also, I just want say thanks to all who prayed when they read my prayer requests post on He Rights My Wrongs. They really meant a lot 🙂

A Bunch of Random Updates & News!

Hi everyone!

I’m sorry it’s been a week since I posted – again. I was really busy last week and I’m afraid that this will be the only post this week because the Hillside Craft Fair is this weekend!!! That means that pretty much all my spare time is going to crocheting. I’m SO excited for Hillside!! A part of me wishes it was today and the other part of me is like – no way! You are not prepared, get to crocheting! XD

I’m working on a Sith Cloak right now. I had to take it apart twice so I’m a bit behind on that, but I’m hoping to finish it by tomorrow and get started on the Jedi Robe 🙂
I made a Princess Leia Dress and I have a Han Solo Dress in the works. I can’t wait to show you all my new stuff! 😀

Also, I just sold a Rey outfit on Etsy!! YAAAY!!! I really needed that right now. With Mother’s Day and Emma’s birthday coming up – I didn’t know what I was going to do 😛

(I didn’t want this to be a picture-less post, so I thought I’d put this one in I took a week or two ago. It makes me think of A Bug’s Life 🙂 )

Onto the news – I’m a part of a collab blog!!! That makes *mumbles to self – LHOAG, LMF, He Rights My Wrongs…* Okay, that makes 4 blogs that I have to post on! Wow – I never expected that! XD
Grace (The Girl Upstairs) asked Emma, Clara, Bella, and I to be a part of a collab blog with her. It’s called The Elven Realm of Writing, so please check it out! It’s all about writing, elves, and books. We don’t have any posts up yet, but there’s a welcome post and most of the about pages are complete 🙂

Alrighty, are there any more updates….?

OH! I got a furniture piece for my dollhouse last week!! I can’t wait to show it to you all! 😀

I think that’s about it. I know this was very random, but I hope you found it interesting! XD

What are you (or your dolls) up to lately?

I Made A New Blog!

Hi all! How’s your day going? 🙂

Well, suddenly today I had the urge to make a Christian blog where I could share advice, my own struggles and beliefs, and more with other Christian girls! I’ve been thinking about making one for a while and since I had thought of a few things to post about already, I thought, “Okay, I think I need to do this!”

So please check out my new blog, He Rights My Wrongs! I’d really appreciate it 😀

An Oz Engagement~ A Photoshoot

Hi everyone! First off, lemme just say thank you all SO much for your sweet birthday wishes! That post has 23 likes (my most ever!) and over 70 comments- you guys are awesome! 😀

Now, the other day I felt like taking pictures of some Barbie dolls. After trying for a while to choose who to photograph, I thought- I haven’t taken pics of a guy Barbie before – so I decided to take pics of my Disney Oz doll as well as Glinda. I hope you enjoy the photos 🙂

The detail on these dolls are amazing! He looks so much like James Franco, it’s insane!

This picture has officially made me want to make a photostory with my Barbies. Doesn’t he look so mysterious and like he’s looking over his shoulder as though someone is following him? 😉

No more hatsies XD

Why, hello, Glinda 😉

Wow. I never realized before how beautiful Glinda is!

This picture had come out blurry so I had to do some editing to it to make it clearer. Came out pretty good, huh? 🙂

This is probably my favorite picture! It looks so sweet to me 🙂

Okay, now I feel like playing with my Barbies. I must make them get engaged. Ooh! Maybe it could be really sad with all that’s going on in “Barbie Town”…. :O Sorry about that XD
How many of you would like to see a photostory with my Barbies? What about more photoshoots with them?

Bonus picture-

I love this in sepia! 😀

Updates on LittleMissFluffet!

Hey everyone! How are ya’ll doing today? I’m feeling tired…*yawn*

Well, today I thought I would update you all on my other blog LittleMissFluffet! I have received a lot of new followers over here since I started that blog, so maybe even some of you reading don’t really know what I’m talking about 🙂

Now first, I will admit that for a long time I wasn’t posting on that blog, but I’ve picked it up again and have been posting pretty much regularly on there for maybe a couple of months now 🙂

On LittleMissFluffet I post about other things I like and collect. I post about….

(Credit to whoever owns this picture)

Star Wars,

POP!s,

 TsumTsum’s,

(Credit to whoever owns this picture)

and also writing! So for those of you who enjoy the stories I write, I am participating in Loren’s Writing Camp for the whole month of December! Every week I will be posting a short story for the camp 🙂

I’m on Team Dragons in case you were wondering 😉

And (attention all Star Wars fans) each day leading up to the release of TFA I will be posting something Star Wars-y! So some days there will be more than one post 😀

Well, I think that’s about it! I am really trying to build that blog up more by posting more on it, and with all the different things I post about, there should be something over there for every person to enjoy 🙂

Also, if I get up to at least 20 followers over there, I will be doing my own writing camp early next year! 😀

Have a nice day everyone! 🙂

What’s Done On The First Day of Hillside?

Hey everyone! I know, it’s been a while since I’ve posted and I thought that now would be a good time to post since I’m tired from decorating our house today. So I’m sitting in a chair next to our Christmas tree and typing this post up on my phone, feeling quite relaxed 🙂

So, I thought it would be fun to show and tell you all what happens on the first day of the Hillside craft fair. Ready? Great, cause I definitely am! ;D

Well, first of all, I have to get up at 6 AM. Repeat, 6 AM! I’m SO not a morning person. I get up at like 10 a lot of days, so 6 is no bueno. So anyway, I’ll be super tired and freezing and I’ll be shaking as I get dressed cause I’m so dead tired and cold and then I get ready to go and make sure I have everything I need for the day. Then we leave at 7:00.

And we drive through Starbucks! It’s our Hillside tradition to get Starbucks on the way each day of the craft fair. And I always get my usual, no matter how cold it is outside; a tall decaf coffee frappucino double blended with whipped cream. It’s quite amazing 🙂

I always look at this mountain. I call him “My Angry Mountain” because he looks upset. Can you see his “face”? The two bumps at the top are his eyes, the line going down the middle is his nose, and the line curving down is his mouth. Can you see it? No? Okay, I guess it’s just me cause I’m pretty sure everyone I’ve pointed it out to hasn’t seen it LOL!

Then we get there and I’m beyond excited and still freezing and shivering! In case you’re wondering what the temperature is, it’s probably about 45 degrees or so in the morning… I just get really cold LOL! So after we unload our van (which is completely packed with stuff) we have to put up our tent, set up the tables, and then I get to work on setting up my table. I lay my purple tablecloth down, unpack all the doll stands and racks, and set my very important sign in place 😉

(Sorry about the weird angle. I felt kind of rushed 😉 ) And then I unpack my precious dolls. Don’t worry, they’re pretty well protected 😉

Next, I put each doll on a doll stand. It takes forever and some of those things will not stretch and I’ve hurt myself trying to get them on. And when they won’t get on the doll it’s even worse because my fingers are so numb from being cold and I’m so tired.

Then they’re all set up! Aren’t they so pretty? 🙂

I forgot to take a full picture of it all finished (well, you kind of got one already in a different post…), but after they’re all set up, I put out the rest of my stock on the table and I set out my business cards. And then I’m done setting up!

So the rest of the day I sit behind our booth waiting and talking to customers. I’ll also go over to Emma’s booth or she’ll come to mine and we hang out. Sometimes we go sit on a swing and we’ll also go walking around to see all the other vendors. And of course, I buy an amazing ginger cookie (or two!) and we’ll have our lunch from The Chuck Wagon. The burgers are seriously so amazing! :O

Hillside is such a fun place to be and I always have such a great time there! I can’t wait to go back again in the spring! 😀

As a bonus, here’s some random pics I took at Hillside 🙂

I think this was my view when I looked up while Emma and I were on the swing 🙂

Here’s the swing! 😀

Well, that’s all I’ve got for you today, but I hope you enjoyed this post! 🙂

Have you done or gone to a craft fair? What was your favorite part about it?

~Jaclynn~

Some Ramblings :)

So, I went outside this evening to take a photoshoot of Jane, but I wasn’t very happy with how most of the pictures came out, so here’s one I really like that I edited!

I made it all dark around her so that she stands out. Doesn’t she look like she’s glowing? 😀

Anyway, I’m sorry that there’s no photoshoot, but the lighting just wasn’t great out there, so I’ll get around to doing another one soon 🙂

And also, I did really good at Hillside this weekend! I made more than enough money for a doll! Yep, every time I hit $115 I instantly say “I have enough money to buy a doll!!” But then I have to tell myself that I can’t so I can buy my family and friends Christmas presents 😉

Speaking of Christmas, who’s getting excited?! I finished making my wishlist today and it got me super excited! 😀 And seriously, when will we see more of Lea Clark? UGH! I’m seriously dying. I probably think about it at least once a day. I just need to know what she will really look like! Although, from her mini doll, I think she is going to be gorgeous!

Okay, well, I need to go do some things now. I will talk to you all soon!

Are you anxious for Lea Clark’s debut?

~Jaclynn~

One Day Down-

– and two more to go! At least for this week, but I’ve still got two more next week. Hillside today was so fun! I had a few sales, so that was great! I’m hoping to have plenty of money to buy my family Christmas presents and also hopefully have some leftover…. Gotta save for Lea Clark! Uh, yeah, hehe, there’s no picture of her yet, but hey! She sounds gorgeous! XD

Here’s a cool shot of my table I took this afternoon. Don’t they all look beautiful? I definitely think that each one of them serves their part well 🙂

Okay, now that Hillside business is done I’d like to say something….

HAPPY ONE DAY LATE THANKSGIVING!

I hope you all had a wonderful time yesterday and that you got nice and full eating all that pie… Oops! I mean turkey! Yeah, that’s definitely what I mean…. 😉

So, I know this post is kinda boring, but I just didn’t want to leave you all post-less.  I’ll post again soon with a photoshoot!  Hopefully one from Hillside 😀

Have a nice night!

What’s your favorite kind of pie?

~Jaclynn~

Well, It Happened Again!

Hi everyone! Sooo… Either me or my mom always gets sick right before our Hillside craft fair and now with it just a couple of weeks away, I’m sick! Ugh 🙁

This is not a good time for me to be sick. I’m going to Disneyland next week with my mom and sister (she doesn’t have a pass so she’s getting signed in by a friend.), I have to write for NaNoWriMo, prepare for Hillside plus work on an order I got just yesterday, then there’s Thanksgiving and Hillside the day after that! I just can’t be sick, guys! *cries*

(I edited this picture recently, what do you think? 🙂 )
Prayers would really be appreciated right now and not just for me, but for my mom, too. She usually gets sick when I’m sick, so pray that doesn’t happen! :/

I’ll get a post up as soon as I’m better! It will probably be a photoshoot again, but that’s just because those are quickest and easiest for me to make right now when things are so busy 🙂

I’ll talk to you all soon! I hope you’re all having a good week 🙂

~Jaclynn~

Hey Guys!

Sooo…. It’s been like a week since I posted and I still haven’t posted Masquerade…. I’m so sorry. Things have just been a little busy. We’ve been doing a lot of shopping, I spent the day with Emma, started school on Wednesday and yeah. I’m sure you all don’t like these type of posts but I felt like I needed to update you all a bit on what’s been going on 🙂

I have taken pictures for three photoshoots, though! You can thank my new awesome iPhone for that LOL! YES!! I got an iPhone!!!! It takes the same amazing pictures as my mom’s phone (which is what I normally use) so I am SOOOO EXCITED!!!! 😀

I think tomorrow will be pretty much free for me, so I will do my best to get a post up tomorrow! 🙂

Bye for now!
