Masquerade~ Part 7
2 weeks after the proposal of marriage from the prince at my front door, I found myself walking in the palace, myΒ palace gardens with a wedding ring around my finger. How was I supposed to refuse such a generous offer? All I had to do was marry him and my mother and I would be saved from poverty.
So I married the prince. And here I am, a princess.
Any normal girl would feel delighted and honored above all to be a princess, but not me. I didn’t love the prince and, though I knew he was trying, the prince didn’t love me either. All I wanted was to return home with my mother and for everything to go back to the way it was before Frederic began to interfere with our lives. But at least my mother was taken care of. That was the important thing.
“Liesel, may I speak to you for a moment?” The prince, or I should really say, my husband, called from behind me.
I turned to face him and said, “Certainly. What is it?”
He motioned for me to come to him, so I did. “Are you alright, Liesel?” He inquired. I stared at him a moment. I could tell him that I was miserable and felt very alone, but I didn’t. Instead I simply said, “Yes.” Jeremiah raised his eyebrow with concern. “Somehow I feel like that isn’t true.” He said skeptically.
“Please forgive me, but I would really rather be alone.” I said as politely as I could.
“Very well. I will see you at dinner.” He sighed and went back inside.
I closed my eyes, trying so hard not to cry. I couldn’t let anyone see me crying, so I ran far away from any windows or servants.
And I let the tears pour out. I felt so unwanted, but mostly, I felt unloved.
That concludes this installment of Masquerade! The next part will be up soon! π

:O π
LOL! Thanks! XD
~Jaclynn~
π I didn’t miss anything, did I? I didn’t think I had seen the prince in any other parts… or have I?
Nope! This is the first part that he’s shown in, he was just mentioned for the first time in the previous part π
~Jaclynn~
Okay. That’s why. π
SHE IS SO PRETTY! and she obviously dosen’t realize how AWESOME the prince is.
Isn’t she?! I keep looking at the pics of her LOL!
Yeah, he is quite awesome π
~Jaclynn~
How many episodes will there be? Thanks!
-Phoebe-
Not sure yet. Kinda figuring that out as I go along π
~Jaclynn~
I love this photo story so much! Maryellen’s hair looks so pretty like that!
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you like it! π
~Jaclynn~
WHOAH. I mean, it wasn’t as dramatic as some of the previous ones, but that last image! The suspense! I can’t wait for the next one! π
LOL! Yeah, this one was definitely not as intense and didn’t have as much information, but I’m glad you still liked it! Thank you! π
~Jaclynn~
This story just keeps getting better. I love all the details you put into the dolls’ costumes!
~Kathryn
Awe, thank you so much! π
~Jaclynn~
SHE MARRIED THE PRINCE?!? Wow, I did not see that coming. π But the prince seems like a nice, thoughtful guy.
I love Liesel’s hair. So gorgeous! π
~Lizzy
Hehe! I’m full of surprises π
Yeah, the prince is really nice! π
Thanks! I do, too! π
~Jaclynn~
Jaclynn- this series is SO good! Oh my gosh! You’re such an amazing writer and photographer π I love the effect of the ninth photo! <3
~j
Oh my gosh! Thank you so much! You girls make my day! π
~Jaclynn~
I really like this story – it reminds me of ‘The Princess Bride’ or ‘Once Upon A Time’.:D
Thank you so much! π
~Jaclynn~
Why wasn’t this Cinderella?! She hardly knew the prince in the old tale. And she married him and was happy. Doesn’t make sense! I like your story!!!! π
LOLOL! Well, Liesel didn’t spend an evening dancing with him and getting to know him. She actually didn’t know the prince at all π
Thank you! I’m glad you like my story! π
~Jaclynn~
Just an evening though!!! π Sorry Jaclynn I’m so weird haha!!
Great job with your stories! Question: did it take convincing for you to get an Instagram? Because I really want one but I’m only 12…I’m just not sure how to go about this delicate procedure..lol. I guess because you already had a blog your parents were fine with it? I want a blog/Instagram… Can’t you do private so people can only read it by request?
LOL! It’s fine! I’m weird, too! XD
Thank you! And as for your question, my mom actually made my Instagram for my business at first and she was running it for me. After a while she decided to let me make posts on there. And right now I’m not allowed to have full control of my IG, so whenever I wanna see it my mom checks the notifications first to make sure there’s nothing bad or inappropriate π
And, yes, I’m pretty sure you can make your blogs private and just invite certain people to be able to view it. And with Instagram, I’m not 100% sure, but I think you can do something similar on there π
I hope this helped! π
~Jaclynn~
Ah ok. That makes sense. I kinda figured it was sorta “mom run” and I’m sure that’s the only way I would have a blog/IG π It makes total sense though! Hmmm…
Thanks so much Jaclynn! You are so sweet and helpful. I really wanna meet you in person!!
Yeah, even when I first started blogging my mom was moderating all my comments first just in case something happened. I’m sure you and your parents could work something out π
You’re welcome! And thank you so much! That’s really sweet of you to say π I’d love to meet you, too! π
~Jaclynn~
P.S. Let me know if/when you ever start a blog! I’ll definitely wanna check it out π
I’m not trying to barge in on your conversation, but I just wondered, what’s the difference between Instagram and Pinterest? π
*Sunny
That’s a good question! I actually don’t use Pinterest, but I’ll try to explain it is as best as I can π
With Instagram, you post only photos and videos that are just a few seconds long and you put tags with it like #americangirl and the like π
With Pinterest, I think it’s more for like inspiration, tutorials, and recipes. And you can pin stuff from sites onto your board(s) that you like. π
I feel like that sounded like a horrible explanation, but, you know, I don’t have a Pinterest LOL! I hope this helped a little though! π
~Jaclynn~
YOUR STORY IS SO AMAZING JACLYNN!!! Seriously, though, I love it so much! I can’t wait to see what happens next! π
~Ginny
Thank you SO much! You brought a smile to my face! π
~Jaclynn~
I need the next part!
I’m so glad you like it! I’ll post it soon! π
~Jaclynn~
I wish I could do photo stories like you. It just gets better!
Maddie
Awe, thank you for the compliment! I’m sure your stories are great and you only get better at it if you keep making them! π
~Jaclynn~
This is so good! Dallas makes for such a cute prince. π Liesel should tell him what’s wrong–after all, Jeremiah is her husband!! π LOL!
Great costumes, by the way π
*Sunny
Thank you so much! I think he does, too. He’s just got that princely look π
LOL! Yeah, she should, but I think she’s shy π
Thank you very much! π
~Jaclynn~
This is so awesome! I think I may of accidently unfollowed this blog because from this post on I haven’t seen it in my reader. I only saw this because I typed in your website on the internet. Well anyway I loved this and Maryellen is so pretty!!! ~Mya~
Thank you so much! π Oh, that’s odd! Well you’re following now! π
Thanks again! π
~Jaclynn~
Yep I followed again π
Dallas makes an awesome prince, and the name Jeremiah fits him perfectly! That name is actually one of my favorites(for kids later on in life ;D)!
