New Items In My Etsy Shop!
I have been doing A LOT of crocheting these past few weeks and I uploaded all of my new items on Etsy! I’m going to share the link to my shop and some pictures with you π
“…but where our hearts truly lie, is in peace and quiet. And good tilled earth.”
~Bilbo from The Fellowship of The Ring
This is my Hobbit Styled Outfit (obviously for the ladies). I got the style idea from a pictureΒ that was in the book that came withΒ The Hobbit movie.
Hobbit’s dresses are flowy, with puffy sleeves, and sometimes a vest. And Hobbits wear aprons a lot because they are always eating or working in their gardens.
You can wear this outfit many different ways. YouΒ can wear it all together as worn in the first picture or just the dress and vest…
Or just the dress and apron..
Or just the dress alone! Either way, this outfit is perfect for any little Hobbit π
As Pippin says: “We’ve had one, yes- what about second breakfast?”Β LOL!
Hobbits eat up to seven meals a day! Here’s their menu:
Breakfast
Second Breakfast
Elevenses
Afternoon Tea
Dinner
Supper
Long list of meals, huh?
Here is my Hobbit Cloak!
“May these cloaks shield you from unfriendly eyes.” ~Galadriel from The Fellowship ofΒ The Ring
Whether your doll needs to stay hidden and safe or simply just to stay warm this cloak will do the trick!
The dress is long and drags the ground, flows out in the back, and has long hanging sleeves.
This picture shows the flow in the back of the dress and the long hanging chains of the crown.
Arwen Undomiel (or Luthien Faelivirn as is Annika’s Elven name) helps an injured bird with her kindness and grace.
You can find all of these outfits and more on my Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/shop/BittyBeanies?ref=si_shop
Arwen’s Coronation Outfit is $45
Hobbit Outfit is $45
And Hobbit Cloak is $20
Which is your favorite?
~Jaclynn~
My Elven name: Alatariel Faelivrin
My Hobbit Name: Myrtle Proudfoot of Standelf
You sure do love LOTR! π Have you read the books yet? I am pretty far in The Two Towers. π
I would say my favorite is the Hobbit Outfit, because there are lots of parts to it.
So do you play LOTR with your dolls? I mean, you have outfits for it-but no males. π I guess you’d have to find some boy dolls for that-or use your bitty twins. π
So do more people buy your hobbit/LOTR doll clothes, or your regular clothing items(I hope you don’t mind me asking).
I don’t really have any money for doll clothes, but I think your stuff looks really well made and I also think all the stuff is pretty cute-especially that pink and white outfit that Caroline modeled. π
~Christian Homeschooler
P.S. I really can’t wait to get my Doll School book. π
Also, I saw the winners of the photo contest on AG Fan. What did you think? I was disappointed that I didn’t win, but not too much. π
LOLOL! Yes, I do! Majorely obssessed!! LOLOL! π π
Yes, I started reading Return of The King today- how are you liking it? π
That’s my second favorite- actually- I’m not sure! It’s SO hard to pick!
I’m glad you like my stuff!
Hehe- well, yesterday I made a little Hobbit home for my dolls and was playing for a little bit, but it’s kinda hard because I don’t really know what they talk about. I guess mostly food and gardens! LOL!
I have also done a tiny bit of Annika being an Elven princess- that was fun! π
Yeah, I used Caleb yesterday- it’s perfect because Hobbits can range anywhere from 2-4 feet! So he’s a short one π
I haven’t made a sale on any of my LOTR outifts, yet so I guess I’d say regular clothing π
Thank you very much! Hehe- everyone seems to love that outfit! It was like the main outfit looked at when I did my last craft fair π
~Jaclynn~
P.S. Hehe! I know- it must be very exciting for you! π
Hmm.. As far as best pictures go, I think there were better ones, but there’s were still cute π
LOL! π
Um, idk. Sometimes it is boring, sometimes it is very interesting. What I don’t like is that the chapters are way long. π I don’t like really long chapters. π Because either I have to stop in the middle of a chapter, or I have to read a LOT to finish the chapter.
Hehe! I guess so! I really like to see all the stuff that you crochet-hopefully you’ll start selling more different outfits? π
Hehe! I think I do too! I mean, of course I’m glad. π
Yeah, I guess it might be a little hard. But you could find out some stuff of what they do, and then they could put on a play…
Haha! You are so right! Hobbits are short and pudgy. From what I gathered from the books…
Okay! Just wondering. π
Yes, I think so too. π
You’re welcome! π Oh, that’s funny! I guess it is a real big hit. π
~Christian Homeschooler
P.S. Yes, it really is. And also, I am going to go with mom to a new craft store near us! Isn’t that cool?! I probably won’t get anything for making doll stuff, but still..
Oh, and also, did you guess that the hats in my picture were crocheted by my crocheting sister? π Aren’t they great? She made the pink one just for the picture(kind of).
There are some parts that are just a bit boring, but I think most of it is interesting and exciting!
Yeah, the chapters are super long! I usually have to stop reading in the middle of a chapter. I make sure it’s at a break in the book, though π
So, do you like it, though?
Thanks! What kind of different do you mean?
Well, I know what they do, but I don’t know how/what they talk about. LOL! π
Yes, they are! π
It is funny! Hehe! Yep, I guess so π
~Jaclynn~
P.S. Oh, that’s fun! What’s the name of it?
Hehe! Yes, I did! They look really cute on them π
Yeah, that’s a good way to describe it. π
Exactly! I don’t really like that. I really don’t like stopping in the middle of a chapter. π
Like what? LOTR? I guess they are pretty good books. π
Oh, I just mean a different crochet pattern. Not super different. Although, I think maybe you should try selling a crocheted bathing suit next summer. People might like that. π
π
~Christian Homeschooler
P.S. Yes it sure is!! The name is JoAnn’s. Do you have that kind of store near you?
Thanks! My sister that crocheted the hats really helped with the picture. π Also, did you notice that I had to take the photo in the pool?
Hehe- Thanks! π
Yeah, but sometimes I need a break from reading so I just stop for a bit and pick it up later π
Hehe! They are! I’m glad you at least like them π
Oh, so like make different things? Yeah I was going to make one this summer, but completely forgot- and when I remembered I didn’t feel like making it! LOLOL! π
~Jaclynn~
P.S. Oh, my gosh! Yes, we go there a lot, actually! It’s very common out here- I thought for sure there was one where you lived! It’s a fun store and I’m sure you’ll like it! π
Aw, that’s nice π
Wait- It’s actually in the pool? I looked at the picture yesterday and I couldn’t tell if it was in the pool or not. That is so dangerous- especially with your doll standing up. What if she fell into the pool and got ruined?? Poor little thing π
They r soo cute! I love Arwens dress!:) but it’s hard to choose!:)
Thank you, Emma!
Yeah, I do, too! Hehe! Yes, it is! π
~Jaclynn~
Oh my goodness! You are so talented, Jaclynn! I love the Hobbit dress – I just finished reading The Hobbit for the first time, and I saw the movie last night! I’m so excited to read The Lord of the Rings!
Just a question – how long have you been crocheting? You’ve inspired me – I want to learn to crochet! Is it hard? (:
~Olivia
Aw, thank you, Olivia!
*GASP* REALLY?? Didn’t you just LOOVE it?!?!? What was one of your favorite parts (without being super descriptive so it won’t scare anyone)?
LOL! That’s how I was when I finished reading The Hobbit! My guess is that you really liked it, then? π
I’ve been crocheting for a little over 4 years now.
I’m glad I’ve inspired you!
Learning how to crochet can be a challenge. When I first learned I gave up because I couldn’t get it right. Then I picked it up again. Then I quit. And then finally I kept going and look where I’ve come! Of course anything you learn is always hard at first, but then once you’ve mastered it- it becomes such a fun thing to do! π
Hope this helps!
~Jaclynn~
You’re welcome — it’s true! π
Yes, I totally loved it! I was so sad when the book was over, LOL! I love Tolkien’s writing style. Oh gosh, one of my favorite parts…that would probably be when all the dwarves are randomly appearing at Bilbo’s doorstep and he doesn’t have a clue what’s going on, and then that part where he opens the door and all the dwarves and Gandalf fall into his house on top of each other! I laughed SO hard trying to picture that! LOL π
Wow, that’s pretty impressive — I would’ve guessed more than 4 years! Crocheting looks super hard to me. But you’re right. If you just stick with it, whatever it is you want to learn to do, it gets easier over time. Maybe I’ll pick up a book on crocheting sometime… π Thanks, Jaclynn.
~Olivia
π
LOL! Yeah, it was a good ending, though!
Hehe! Yes, his style is good. Sometimes I got confused in The Hobbit and didn’t know what happened and so I’d be like “Wait- what happened?” And then scan through to find what I missed! LOL!
LOLOL! Yeah, that part is funny! I love it when Gandalf first arrives at Bilbo’s house- I love the conversation that they have! Gandalf is just SO funny! π
Well, what was your favorite part in the movie? Did you love that as well? π
Why, thank you! π
Absolutely. Just stick with it and you’ll get better and better each year! π
You’re welcome!
~Jaclynn~
P.S. Don’t you love the Misty Mountains song in the movie? And did you listen to the credits song? SO amazing! I get chills out of awesomeness like every time! Hehe! π
LOL, I know, I was always confused and then I would have to read whole paragraphs over until I figured out what just happened here! XD His writing style is very sophisticated, but I love it. Tolkien is a wonderful storyteller. Have you read the Narnia books? I LOVE Narnia — Narnia for me is like LOTR for you. (: Both the writing style and the stories are similar to The Hobbit — which is probably one reason why I liked it so much.
Yes, Gandalf is funny! He’s a great character. In answer to your question, I think my favorite part in the movie (other than when Bilbo opens the door and all the dwarves fall into his house, LOLOL) is Bilbo’s conversation with Gandalf in the very beginning! You know, when Bilbo says, “Good morning,” and Gandalf replies, “What do you mean? Do you wish me a good morning, or mean that it is a good morning whether I want it or not, or that you feel good this morning, or that it is a morning to be good on?” LOL!!!! (: Gandalf is awesome! I really liked the movie, but (SPOILER ALERT, ANYONE WHO IS READING THIS!!!!) I was really shocked at how it just ends all of a sudden, with no warning, in the middle of the story. (Well, I guess that wasn’t really much of a spoiler.) I’ve heard they’re going to make The Hobbit into 3 movies! Wow! I can’t wait for Part 2 to come out! Oooh oooh — do you know when it’s coming out??? =P
~Olivia
p.s. I LOVE that song! It’s SO COOL!!! It sounds really awesome when all the dwarves are singing it in their ridiculously low voices, LOL! (I wonder if I can buy it on iTunes? LOLOL)
LOL! I wouldn’t have to read paragraphs, but just little lines π
Well- kind of. My mom read me the Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe when I was younger and we started reading Prince Caspian, but then stopped.
I love the movies, though! LOL!
Oh, really? So you like Narnia better than LOTR? I always thought I would like the Narnia movies better, too, but when I saw LOTR I was blown away. Narnia went way down the list! LOL!
He really is! He’s one of the best characters and is such a great actor!
Oh, yeah! That part is really funny!
Well, that’s how all of the LOTR movies end (except for the last one of course), but they do that because they’re making 3 movies, so they have to leave you excited. Like when it shows Smaug at the end and he opens his eyes and he growls- it leaves so excited and anxious for the next movie! I personally think it’s a good ending, though. Like it makes sense for it to end there π
I used to hate the ending for The Fellowship of The Ring, but after seeing all three movies it makes sense now, too π
Yes, I don’t know the exact date, yet, but it’s coming out some time in December!! EEEEEEK!! I’m so excited- I’m going to see the midnight premiere- my first one!! π It’s called The Desolation of Smaug and the last one is called There and Back Again π
So, you haven’t seen The Lord of The Rings Trilogy? You NEED to see them! Watch them ASAP! LOL! π π
~Jaclynn~
P.S. Oh, I was talking about the credits song- not the one when the dwarves are singing it π
But, yes that song is AMAZING as well! I love it when all of the dwarves start joining in with Thorin. It’s so awesome! π
Hehe! Probably! We have the Hobbit Soundtrack so I listen to that a lot! LOLOL! π
Those are all SO adorable! I LOVE the two dresses on Annika and the cloak is adorable!
LOL! Second breakfast, I probably didn’t read that far.
What are you doing with the money you get from your Etsy shop right now? Is it going to your AG fund or to your horse fund?
~Carli
Thank you very much! π
LOL! Yep, I can’t remember if it’s in the books, but all of the quotes I put are from the movies π
I actually haven’t made a sale, yet. When I do, though it will probably be split between them- with also a bit of money to spend on whatever- hehe! π
~Jaclynn~
You’re welcome! π
Oh okay, that would make sense to me, since I can hardly remember anything anyone said from the Hobbit!
That’s nice to have a little bit of money for this or that hehe! π
~Carli
LOL! Yeah, I couldn’t really quote anything from that book, but I remember parts that I liked π
Yes, it is! π
~Jaclynn~
I remember parts that I liked, like in the first chapter of the Hobbit, I loved “The Unexpected Party”! π
π
~Carli
Hehe! I think that’s the name of the chapter, but I know what you mean. I liked it, too! π
~Jaclynn~
You’re welcome! π
Right. π
Yeah, that’s what I mean. π Oops!! Well, there’s always next year. π
~Christian Homeschooler
P.S. Hehe! Well, I guess there was one once, but it closed-and now there is another one! π I am actually just back from shopping with my mom-and we went to JoAnn’s!!! It is soo big. And there is soo much stuff!! π I love it!!! π I even saw a mailbox that looked like the one that Liz did for a craft on AG fan!! π There was soo much fabric and yarn.
Well, I took the picture in the pool(do NOT drop the camera!!), but the doll wasn’t close enough to the pool to fall in, really. I mean, she might have, but it was unlikely-and she didn’t. π Maybe she was a little frightened.
Yes, there is! π
~Jaclynn~
P.S. Oh, how cool! Yeah, they have a TON of stuff! I love to look at their fabric- it always inspires me and makes me want to sew (even though I don’t know how π )!
Oh, wow! That’s dangerous, too! LOL! Oh, ok. I still think it’s scary- Hehe! π
~Jaclynn~
Yeah, it really was!! π Oh, you don’t know how? Like even on a machine? It isnβt that hard. Well, the sewing part anyway. When I am sewing doll clothes, I always have to get my mom to decipher in sewing instructions!! π
Yeah, I guess so. But everything came out unscathed. π Samantha stood up really well. π
~Christian Homeschooler
P.S. Guess what? I got the Doll School book today!!! π I really like the stuff. π
Nope- not at all!
LOL! That’s probably how it will be for me π
Oh, ok! Well, that’s good π
~Jaclynn~
P.S. YAY!! Have fun with it π
I know! YAY! π I definitely will. π Last night, I had to show my mom all the stuff in the kit. By the time we were finished(there were lots of interruptions), it was almost 10:00!!! I don’t really know when we started looking at it, though. Maybe 9:30? IDK. Anyway, I really like all the stuff. What is your favorite thing in the kit? I really like the Rebecca book, the easel, the map of the world, and the chalk/white board. π
~Christian Homeschooler
Oh, wow! That’s late! π
Hmm… I’m not sure! Probably the work sheets and the Rebecca book π
~Jaclynn~
It’s funny, too because it was only 7:00 PM for me! LOL! π
~Jaclynn~
ADORABLE!!!!! How much do they cost each?!?!!! Wait, why am I asking this, I am trying to save up for mini Saige XD
You are so stinkin’ good at chrocheting! HOW DID YOU LEARN TO DO THAT?! IT LOOK….impossible. 0.o
~Madison
Thank you VERY much!
LOL! Well, just in case you would like to know here’s the price list:
Hobbit Outfit- $45
Hobbit Cloak- $20
Arwen’s Coronation Outfit- $45
Aw, thank you π
My mom taught me how to crochet and I make up all of my patterns! Sometimes I know how I want something to look, but I can’t figure out the right shape, so sometimes I have to ask my mom to help me π
~Jaclynn~
I love the hobbit dress!
Thank you, Lacie! π
~Jaclynn~
Yeah! π But sometimes I stay up until 11:00 reading! π
So you like the worksheets? I am not so fond of them because they are all filled in. π
Yeah, the Rebecca book is really good. π
~Christian Homeschooler
Oh, wow! That’s a long time!
Yeah, because I would take like over an hour to make little work sheets for them, so it helps a lot π
Yes, it is π
~Jaclynn~
hehe! I guess so. π
Yeah, I guess it does. But I wish they hadn’t filled them in. That part isn’t so good. π
Today I made two more folders for doll school!! I needed 8. π
Yeah, it would’ve been better if they left it blank, but oh well! I think it’s cool, though that they used different styled writing for each one π
Yay! π
~Jaclynn~
Yeah, that’s what I think. Yeah, that was really cool. They made them distinctly different. π
π
I also photocopied and printed more handwriting sheets, writing journals, math worksheets, spelling worksheets, and library cards. π Everything is so great!! Also, for tables, I am going to use two small ironing boards. You know, the ones you can put on a table or something. They are perfect for doll tables. Plus, the dolls don’t need chairs to sit at them!! Do you have an ironing board like that? We have two. π
I would have rathered they put something else in substitute for the hall passes and lunch tickets, though. MY dolls do NOT go to public school. π
~Christian Homeschooler
Yes, it is cool π
Oh, yeah I had to make copies of so many things! LOL!
That’s a good idea! Hehe! That’s true! π
No, we don’t. We use a big ironing board π
I know! Like, they’re really cute, but I can’t use them.
But, you know- they expect that people who buy that kit will pretend their dolls will GO to school π
~Jaclynn~
Just got back from vacation!
So nice to be commenting again!
Great outfits!!
-Grace AG Lover
P.S. My grandma’s friend gave me a Samantha doll and a doll table! So happy!
Welcome back, Grace!

~Jaclynn~

It’s good to be back!
And thanks!
Oh, wow! That’s great!
Congratulations on your new doll! π
~Jaclynn~
Thanks!
hehe! That’s what comes of having so many dolls. π
How do you use a big ironing board?
Yeah, they are NO good for homeschool.
Yeah, I know. It is just too bad. I mean, a lot of their buyers ARE homeschoolers. Probably not the majority, though. π
LOL! Yes, indeed! π
What do you mean? You just unfold it, plug in the iron until it gets hot, put the shirt or whatever on the ironing board and iron! Hehe! π
Nope!
It is too bad. Yeah, but like you said- not the majority. π
~Jaclynn~
*gasp* I LOVE Lord of the Rings! I have been looking for something like this! π
Really?!? YAY! Another LOTR fan friend! LOL!
I’m glad you like it π
~Jaclynn~
Oh, your stuff is so beautifully adorable! I crochet, but not like that! Amazing!
-Morgan
Thank you, very much!
Really? What kind of stuff do you make?
Thank you again! π
~Jaclynn~
