Organizing Doll Clothes Before…

I’ve been working on my room today and that mostly means, cleaning up my doll area! πŸ˜›

My doll’s room is SO MESSY and there are clothes all over the place along with hair ribbons, clips, brushes, etc. It really looks, well- sick! LOL!

Anyways, right now I am organizing my doll clothes… Ugh!! I feel like I do this ALL the time! I just can’t seem to be able to keep it nice! πŸ˜•

Here is what the middle of my floor looks like right now. That little bare spot is where I’m sitting. I literally can not move! πŸ˜›
I’m hoping that now that I have 4 bins, it will be easier to keep organized and looking nice.
When I’m all finished organizing I will show you how it worked out! πŸ™‚

How do you store your doll clothes?

Wish me luck!

    • LOLOL! Yeah, mine are usually kept stuffed and get wrinkled, too πŸ˜›

Aw, thank you! You’re the 3rd one who’s nominated me! πŸ™‚
      ~Jaclynn~

      • LOL! Yea. πŸ˜› I usually organize them and fold them and put them nicely and neatly on the bottom and hang the dresses up…after about a week it looks like an explosion. πŸ˜›

  • My doll’s clothes are stored in one closet, a doll dresser, and bags. The bags that store some of my dolls clothes are actually in my closet tough, and not their area.
And this sounds weird, but that stool you have in the picture looks exactly like something I have in my room!!

    • Oh, that’s a lot of different spots! You must have a lot of doll clothes πŸ™‚
      LOLOL! That’s so funny! πŸ˜›
      ~Jaclynn~

      • Oh, I don’t know…. Not as much as Liz!! Did you see the part of the video where she showed her heaping doll clothes bin?!? Now that is a lot of doll clothes!! πŸ˜€

        • Oh, yeah!! She has a TON!! I don’t even know if that was all of them because it seemed like she used to have way more, but maybe it is all of them. I don’t know πŸ˜›
Yep, it sure is!! Her place is like doll clothes heaven! LOLOL! πŸ˜€
          ~Jaclynn~

        • Yeah! Wow, that waas awesome! I loved that video!! (I was thinking the entire time, “how is she so good at taking selfies??)

        • I know! I saw that…now that’s a LOT of doll clothes! LOL! πŸ˜›

          ~Lydia~ <3

  • Oh! I’m sure you will get it soon. I keep my clothes i na storage tower marked. “Girl Doll Clothes” I have a divider in that drawer for Historical clothes and modern clothes, and than I have a drawer for bedding and accessories

  • well, i store all my dolls clothes in a large plastic bin with drawers. its a little funny looking, sitting in my room, so i put it in my closet. wow! you’re room is messy! (you’re not the only one; after my friend comes over, all the doll clothes are EVERYWHERE.)

  • I wish dollhouses would just clean them self, LOL! My dollhouse always gets super messy. I keep my doll clothes in a big bin under my bed, then I keep the accessories in little bins.

    • I know, right? That would be so awesome! LOL! πŸ˜€
Oh, that would work for me if I didn’t have a loft bed… Oh well πŸ˜›
      ~Jaclynn~

  • Well, I did have a house set up for them in my closet, but I needed the space back! so now I have a big box that holds all there clothes and a bunch a smaller ones holding all of there small accessories! But my Dad said that if we clean out our basement he might be able to build me real AG house! I hope it works out!!! πŸ™‚

But I need to re-organize my AG clothes because, well they are not organized in ANY way! uh-oh! πŸ™‚

I hope you can clean your stuff up soon! I know how that feels, I feel like I am constantly cleaning my room! I just got it really clean yesterday, now I don’t wantt to do anything in there, so that way it won’t get messy anymore! πŸ™‚

    • That would be so amazing if you had an AG doll house!! I would die if I had one (in a good way, LOL!)! πŸ˜€
Thank you so much! Oh, I know how that feels. For me it feels like I’m cleaning my room so I can make a mess in it again πŸ˜›
      ~Jaclynn~

      • I know!! I hope we can build one!! πŸ™‚ My brother laughed at the idea because he thought it was silly to build a house that big, he said you might as well build a real house! But I dad said that he really wants to build it for me! πŸ™‚
I know! I have to do a photostory for my blog, but that means my room will get messy (again!)NOOOO!!!! πŸ™

        • Hi everyone! Here’s an AWESOME tip to helping your doll area stay organized when doing photostories.
          1. The first thing I do for photostories is dress my dolls accordingly for the photo-story. When dressing them, I immediately put their clothes away as soon I take the clothes off my dolls. THEN I put the clothes on my dolls.
          2. Clean up as you go. Done with that prop? Put it away. Doll beds un-made for the picture? Take the picture, and, depending if you have t take any more pictures with the beds un-made, make the beds. once the pictures have been taken, restore the room to where it was before you began the photostory.
          I hope this helped!

  • my dolls room is small… just a bunk bed, a chair and the dogs bbed. but a year ago it was huge with a desk, garden, ect. LOL πŸ™‚

  • Wow, that looks very messy! Deja Vu for me… πŸ˜›
My dolls clothes are currently in two small bins, shirts and dresses in one, and pants and shoes in another, though, they’re just laying around my room at this point, which makes it look even messier πŸ˜›

  • AGH! Thats what my doll room looks like right now, Lol!! Um… have fun?

  • Yipe! Well, before we got organized, our closet was like that! BTW, you should look at this girl’s blog, I think you’ll like it! http://americangirlnorthwest.blogspot.com/2014/03/libster-award.html

    • LOL! I don’t think I’ll ever be able to stay organized, but I’m trying! πŸ˜›
Oh, I saw that, but I haven’t gotten around to commenting on it. Thank you for linking to me! That was sweet of you πŸ™‚

  • I hope your blog will start working for you soon!!

    • Thank you so much!! I am very happy to report that it is WORKING!!! YAAAY!! πŸ˜€
Thanks again for your prayers! It means so much! πŸ™‚

  • Hey Jaclynn! Sorry I haven’t been on in FOREVS! πŸ˜‰
My doll space is always organized,(ok, today it’s a tad messy) though sometimes my bins of doll clothes overflow! Anyway, I store my doll clothes like this: I have two shelves (the shelves match) next to each other and each..um, level (you know, the shelves on the shelf) has something on it. The top shelves have my dolls on them (Rebecca, Kit, Teddy (18″ gorgeous Gotz doll), McKenna, Marie Grace and Saige (can I just say, I ADORE SAIGE!!!!!!!!)), the shelf under that has my doll dresses each on a hanger and the hanger is on a rod (it is SO cool), and the shelf after that has bins and bins of doll clothes… πŸ˜‰ And the other shelves are books, AG and regular. πŸ™‚
