Riven-Delle’s Writing Day
Hi everyone! If you’ve gone to the “Meet My Dolls” page, you’d know that I love to write! Today, I am having a writing day and I thought I’d share a few tips for having a successful writing day 🙂
First off, get comfortable. Wear some soft, comfy pants and a t-shirt. Put on a hairstyle that makes you feel ready to work! Some people like to just stay in their pj’s all day when they write and leave their hair down, but I like to get dressed and do my hair, so I feel ready to tackle my story!
Next, always have a water bottle or a glass of water near you. If you plan to sit down for a few hours and write, you’ll tend to get thirsty, so water is always a good thing to have with you 🙂
If you tend to get distracted easily, shut the door so you feel alone and can concentrate more easily on your work.
Now you’re ready to write! Some people do their writing on paper, but I like to do mine on the computer. It goes faster for me and it’s much easier to correct any mistakes 🙂
Remember, if you hit a dead end and you just can’t seem to push through the wall, maybe it’s time to take a break for a while. Usually when that happens to me, I take it as a sign that I need to stop for the day and think on it some more. If you force it too much, you may end up getting frustrated and stop writing for a week (maybe more).

Hey, it’s Jaclynn now! I’m having a writing day myself and I thought I’d let you all know something…..
….. I’m working on writing the FINALE of my pirate stories!!! NOOOO!!! Oh, I’m going to die when it all ends. Probably cry. I’ll definitely miss writing them, but I’m excited to see how you will all like them and I hope that I can continue to write different stories that you’ll love just as much 🙂

I enjoy writing, and so do 3 or so of my girls: Jaelin, Linnea, and Iris, the last two of which have not made it up on my “Meet My Dolls” wall. Jaelin has her own blog (she’s supposed to share it with Iris and Linnea, but neither two have contributed yet). It’s linked in the website button field.

I love writing. My sister and I have created multiple stories about the Willows, a family with 10 children, 9 of them being adopted. Most of the little children have built an underground world, focusing on lollipops, their favorite food. Underground, there’s a carnival, beach, lollipop storage area, and lava lobby. Once we even made a map! We made up that the underworld was dug by moles, since the kids have animal voice translators. It’s kind of crazy, but fun! 🙂
We also make comics about the Willow family and our whole family loves reading them. 🙂 I write more stories and Catlover02 usually makes more comics. Currently, I’m writing a story about the Willows and their vacation to Arizona. 🙂

Great post Riven-Delle! I love to write and hope to be an author when I grow up. Amy and Clara, two of my dolls, also like to write. Amy likes to write fiction and fantasy whereas Clara is more of a non-fiction fan.
I’ll be so sad when your pirate stories end. 🙁

Nice tips! I don’t really like to write, but I do like to draw. And in my experience, the “first draft”(whether writing or drawing) is always the hardest and least fun. After the general sketch, it’s a lot funner. 🙂
